Good selection, helpful staff. I was happy that they had a small bottle of Cointreau and Tito’s vodka for my short-​term holiday recipe needs. Looked like a lot of wine and beer choices as well.

Most extensive selection of everything and courteous knowledgeable staff of any beverage store that I’ve ever been too. There are too many choices! They’ve even got homebrew kits and non-​drink items. It was the first place in Lake County that I knew of that did a buildyourown 6-​pack (as does Save On Tobacco at Points East on 306, also highly recommended for their craft beer selection and knowledge and staff). Realistically, this should be the only place you buy and and all alcoholic beverages. Giant Eagle does a swell job, better than most, but this place is just the cat’s pajamas. Period.

Weekly wine tasting events give a great chance for everyone to try wines from all over the world. $ 5 per person gets you a tasting of 5 – 6 wines.
Brian is so very knowledgable about their wines and is not afraid to give you his personal opinion instead of the usual tasting notes you get from others elsewhere. I would highly recommend this place if for no other reason than the amazing selection they have from all over the world. Mentioning a varietal, appellation, region, food pairing or any other descriptor will get you a list of suggestions.
I would highly recommend working through their selections… the wine cellar has some interesting finds as well.

Knowledgeable and not creepy — my top considerations in a liquor store Haha. Always a solid selection and if I am looking for a certain product there’s always a quick answer if they have it or not. I’m not in town very often, so sometimes they don’t have a very specific, rarer local product in looking for at the time I come in.

This is definitely our go to wine/​liquor store! The staff is knowledgable and very helpful, especially Brian for wine. They are great at helping you make party, personal and gift selections. We enjoy their regular wine tastings. Great selection including beer on tap! Fun store.

The best beer and wine selection ever. Brian is a professionally trained wine expert and has never steered me wrong. They have 18 taps and growlers as well. I love it here. It gets busy some times but that’s just holidays or when there is an in store tasting.

The good:
— Variety of product is ridiculous: they appear to have just about everything.
— Price: seems to be pretty fair, although I can never seem to get out of the store without dropping a $ 100… maybe it’s just because I walk around going «Oh, gotta get this… and that… and one of these…»
The bad:
— Every time I go in, and I mean EVERY time, the people treat me like I’m a pain in the neck because I want to do random stuff like pay for my product, or ask a question. One guy acted like I was an idiot for wanting some spiked eggnog a couple days before Christmas last year. Said something to the effect of «Already sold this years order, can’t move it after Christmas so not going to buy too much.» Does it go bad from one year to the next?
Sorry to annoy you, friend, next time I can go someplace else.
But I probably won’t. I’ll just ignore the attitude.

Now that I have moved away from mentor I do not visit this store anymore. However, when I was in mentor I would visit this store quite often.
Their have many great beers on tap at a great price point and they sell it by the pint! Have a beer and browse their selection! I have found many beers in the bottle that I had a difficult time locating elsewhere.
They do sell brew kits and ingredients.
Their wine selection is very good and their staff can help you pick out the perfect bottle for most any price and occasion.

FANTASTIC selection and friendly, knowledgeable staff. I usually purchase a new product each time I go because the selection is so wide… wines, beer and liquor!

Beer on draft from many breweries. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend world Wines & Liquors.

This place is awesome the staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the wine, beer and liquors and the alcohol is priced very reasonably. They have a very wide selection and if they don’t have what your looking for they can usually order it for you.

Don’t let the name fool you. This place has the best carry out beer selection of any store in Cleveland, including La Cave Du Vin. There is a rotating draft selection for growlers or a tasting and a wall full of six packs or single bottles. Brendan is very knowledgeable and constantly improves the selection. If you love beer, you need to visit.

This has been my go-​to store for wine for years. Brian is as knowledgeable as it comes when it comes to wine – and once he gets to know your tastes (and usual price point), he never fails to give you great suggestions if you’re just in the mood for something new. ALL of the people working there are as nice and helpful as can be.
They also have a great selection of beer and the hard stuff, too.
And, right by the check out register – a neat little supply of Tommy’s Jerkys (talk about your suggestive selling!).. .yeah, throw another $ 8 onto the bill! Tommy’s is right down the street, but it saves me a stop and the prices are identical to Tommy’s.
They have regular wine-​tastings during the year…
The far east side of Cleveland is not exactly crawling with decent wine places.. .this is the place to go.. .

Let me start off by saying that any place that carries Magners is definitely a-​ok in my book! That being said, this liquor and wine store situated back off of busy Mentor Ave. is a great stop to pick up just about anything you’re looking for. There has only been one time that I’ve been here and haven’t found what I wanted (and actually it was just this weekend with my boyfriend when we couldn’t find our favorite Founder’s Breakfast Stout). They have a great selection of wine for all of you wine-o’s out there, but beware — the prices are pretty steep. You’ll also find a great selection of beer and they also serve beers on tap — you buy your own growler for $ 3.99, pick your beer, fill ‘er up, and when you’re finished and ready for more you just bring it back and go through that same ol’ routine! This is great for people who love beers that are only served in kegs. Anyways, if you’re in the mood for a little adult beverage and want to try something different, specific, or rare then definitely head to World Wines!
