I think this is my 10th year getting a tree from Noffkes. They have great trees! We buy the precut and they are always really fresh. We seldom have many needles to clean up when we finally take it down.

We’d struck out at our first choice for«cut your own» trees, so went to Noffke even after reading the very poor reviews on Unilocal. I would say their stock of trees. is not great, but slightly better than the one in Cedarburg. While we did find a few trees we liked, they weren’t tagged which meant you couldn’t cut them. We found ZERO trees that would fit the bill, while just looking for your average 7 foot balsam or fir. We’re not picky, looking for the perfect specimen just something above a C+ grade. The prices were pretty high to boot, $ 70 – 90 for cut your own. So. we left without a tree. One bright spot. if you wanted a 8−10−12 foot tree, they had a great selection of very nice, thick, healthy trees that were pre-cut. They were all $ 80+ though, but I suppose if you have a house with high ceilings, you know you’re going to pay a lot for your tree. It’s quite possible that they’ve cut down their nice trees and bumped the price for the convenience to buy them pre-cut. So. no reason to go on an expedition to cut your own, just go to your corner tree lot.

Words can scarcely describe the disaster that is Noffke Tree Farm. My family and I have been cutting down our own tree each year since the 1970s, and have visited dozens of tree farms over the years. Some have been terrific and some have been deficient — but none of them have combined a miserable selection of poorly grown and cared for trees at sky-high prices that characterizes Noffke. Customers can only cut trees with price tags. That’s fine, but can someone explain why the only trees worth considering are not tagged? Did the tags blow off or something? The lowest price I saw was $ 48, and that tree was a barking dog. Most were priced at $ 60 or more. We left Noffke empty-handed, but cut down a beautiful Fraser fir the next day for $ 44 — in Illinois.

Did you even know that you can find a perfect Christmas tree at a farm just a couple miles over the county line? Cutting it yourself guarantees that it’s as fresh as fresh can be. There are a lot of benefits to living in the Great Lakes, and Noffke Tree Farms is a perfect example. Swing by the headquarters on Granville and Donges Bay roads. They’ll give you a map, a saw, and a kneeling mat. And also a hint to where the best trees are waiting! If you don’t have the brawn or inclination to saw a tree yourself, they’ve got plenty of pre-cut smaller trees for reasonable prices right at the main building. Everyone should take advantage of the annual opportunity for tree-finding. You will bring together loved ones for an adventure. Plus it’s a perfect excuse to decorate and round up friends for the afternoon. More and more, traditional family events like apple picking, tree-farms, and drive-in movies are becoming scarce. Some are sadly going out of business. The few places that still offer these throwback experiences sometimes exploit it, and charge extortion prices for prepackaged nostalgia(I’m looking at you Apple Holler). Thank goodness that Noffke remains authentic and charges a fair price for their perfect specimens that are the center of our holiday decorating. Instead of buying some trucked-in and chemical-laced imported tree, go here and support a Wisconsin family enterprise. I highly recommend it!
