So I’ve benign traveling from Los Banos to Merced now just for Gun Runner shooting range. Los Banos doesn’t have a handgun range unfortunately. I like gunrunners tho, always clean, staff are friendly, and it’s only $ 10 to shoot all day.

Second time coming here, and still had the same pleasant time as I did the first time. The people were very helpful when showing their merchandise. The prices are a great, they give you free targets, and there’s someone down at the lanes to be of assistance. We also haven’t felt like we’ve been rushed when we’re doing our shooting. They do have rentals for those that don’t have guns. I guess with all places that deal with guns, if you have the right attitude you will be treated the same.

When I read some of these positive reviews I think to myself, «Are you kidding me.» The old man with the beard is a «Pervert» period! I was very uncomfortable around this man; He can’t seem to keep his hands to himself and respect women when his wife is not around. The customer services is horrible. The man is rude, nasty and honorary. There are many complaints about this place. My complaint is not the first and it will not be the last.

I came by and checked them out, as it said on their website. Found them to be unhelpful and rude. I have just purchased a new Glock and asked the old geezer to show how it worked. His reply was«take it to where you bought it from, I have no time for you today. Come another day.» Yet, people ahead of us were being helped by another employee regarding their handgun. I guess I will take my custom to another shop there are many around.

Terrible customer service. Owner is rude, and employees are likewise rude. Would not spend money there if they were the cheapest shop in a 300 mile radius. Save your money for a shop that knows what customer service means.

Although a little dated and the ventilation is not great, this is a good indoor range. The one thing I truly appreciated was the Range Master that over sees the area. He was totally on top of it and kept the area safe. I will come here again when in the area.

I usually reserve my comments for restaurants and/or cafés; however, I had to(hopefully) make those looking for firearms redirect their search. Having spent several months searching for the proper firearm, I have searched a plethora of establishments from Los Angeles to Louisiana. Depending on the particular firearm in question, most prices seemed to be consistent(within $ 50 – 100 in difference) between different locations, until I walked into the Gunrunner… At first it seemed to be a typical independent dealer storefront. A fair selection of weaponry including shotguns, rifles and handguns similar to other stores, but I noticed the pricing seemed a bit steep. Taking the current market conditions into consideration(weapon sales jumping to 400% over previous years sales) as well as the artificial scarcity created by California’s gun control restrictions, I expected pricing to be a bit more than normal… but not this high. If you want to pay over $ 1100 for a mid-grade colt AR knockoff, or double the going price for most handguns, then this is your place. I was disappointed to find that the three weapons I was interested in were priced nearly 100% over competitors prices both locally as well as on the Internet. My suggestion… it may take a few extra hours, but it would be well worth the savings to contact a local FFL who is willing to have your desired weapon shipped to them. Even with the($ 45-$ 55) processing fee for transfer, and a small shipping fee you will still end up saving in excess of $ 100 dollars per item as opposed to paying the markup here! If you need accessories, cleaning supplies or range time I’m sure this would be a decent local choice, but like I said, if you want a firearm… Even Big 5 beats these guys.

I went here and it was my first time shooting, I had never even touched a gun before! My boyfriend wanted me to come and I was absolutely terrified. I went anyways and found that the staff were friendlier than I could have ever hoped for, and they told me that they wanted me to feel safe and confident above all else. They also were there in the gunrange to give me tips and actually were there when I first shot the gun. I definitely came out of there more confident and I have to say, I think Iv’e found a new sport to practice!

A great«moms & pops» style gun store. The folks are very friendly and helpful there, and their range is perfect to go shoot at by yourself, with friends, and family. They have very good priced accessories such as magazines(some up to $ 8 cheaper than online prices!), cleaning equipment, targets, etc. Range rentals are $ 10 for all-day and gun rentals are only $ 5 a pop. However, their gun prices were a little too steep for me. I saw many handguns that were $ 100 to $ 150 overpriced and their rifles and shotguns were around there too. For example, I saw a Sig Sauer P228 .40S&W for nearly $ 1000. Yikes :( It’s a great place to go on the weekends and unwind. I just wouldn’t buy a gun from there.

New to shooting. From that perspective, it’s my favorite indoor range so far. Somewhere in the vicinity of 10 lanes at around 25yards max. Nice shop with a decent selection. I saw an ed brown 1911 last time I went with my brother and just drooled. Then I saw the price tag and cried. We rented a springfield 1911. Fun to shoot! I love this range. Nice staff and just a fun time. One of the first times shooting for my brother and I’m glad we came here!

We were staying in Merced for a weekend and looking for some interesting things to do there. Shop isn’t that big but a good variety of handguns in the glass counter. To my surprise its fairly busy. I overhear some of them are off-duty cops on dates. Inspires confidence. So after a qualifying chat the guy hands us a 9 mm. I note how beautifully engineered it is. After only a few minutes of filling out paperwork, checking ID’s, and putting on safety gear, we’re downstairs getting trained. Aim, focus, and on the exhale, squeeze don’t jab. Very meditative and simliar to shooting a camera. He even let us swap guns. Nina liked the .22 revolver. This is a really fun date thing. WAY better than a movie. Wonderful customer service, training included, friendly atmosphere, quick to get shooting. To be fair I don’t know how other ranges compare yet, but I’m hooked and will be checking.
