Great bar! Best Jäger bombs. Served in full freezing glass, with real Red bull, and freezing jäger. None of that warm drinks. Never had a problem there. Tell them Obie recommended you.

The 2 extra stars are because I ended up having a great time, but let’s just say that I didn’t plan on partying with people who only have two teeth. That’s right, this is a seedy dive bar that caters to rednecks.
Then again, have a couple drinks, and anybody can get down with the get-​down.

The drinks are cheap and very strong. And you can’t go wrong with pool tables and a jukebox.

San Jose, CA
It’s not called R bar because the Bartender has an eye patch and people that wear eye patches are pirates and say «ARRRR». Seriously. Anyway it’s a fairly good little bar with a pool table, jukebox, and good times. Generally pretty mellow but I could see it getting rowdy sometimes. Anyway it’s not even on R street so I have no idea why it’s called R bar.

La Mesa, CA
A hole in the wall dive bar with cheap drinks and cool people. There is your fair share of bikers and crazy people but don’t be scared. Kick back, listen to Santana, The Doors, Pink Floyd, or EWF; sipping a $ 2 pint/​$ 7 pitcher. It’s kind of small with the two pool tables taking up most of the bar but a chill place to hang out.
