Pest Fighter

We had been using another well-​known pest control company for a recurring problem with rats. Rats were somehow entering through the roof, and we would hear them scrambling around in the ceiling. Completely terrifying! Our previous pest control company would set traps and did *a little* exclusion work. But, after a few trappings the rats would ALWAYS come back, and we would have to have them out again. We were throwing hundreds of dollars their way on a regular basis, only to have rats move right back in. Living in our home had become completely unsettling, and we were starting to hear activity in areas that we had not had an issue with before. This company just said the rats had gotten «trap shy,» and offered little solution other than coming out more regularly.
Enter Adam at Pest Fighter. This was a completely different experience than with our first company. Adam THOROUGHLY inspected every inch of our roof and found ~3 entrance points the other guys missed. One area was about 1.5′ x .5′ (yes, feet not inches!) under the shingles and beside the gutter! Unbelievable that the prior company had missed that one. In addition, Adam found a hole right beside another area that the prior company had tried to seal. He did all the exclusion work at the first visit and set some traps.
One week later, Adam was back and collected three rats from our attic. Then… ahh…radio silence. It’s been several months of inactivity and I am once again comfortable in my own home.
I couldn’t recommend Pest Fighter enough. Adam is amazing at what he does, rates are reasonable, AND he’s such a great guy. I have absolutely no hesitations about recommending him.

After having an inspection done on our house, we learned that we needed to have the following things done to get it up to code and clean it up.
We had Pest Fighter do the following:
–Rodent trapping and exclusion in our attic
–Find and seal any holes from the outside where pests were coming in
–Complete attic clean out
–A vent put in our master bathroom to the outside of our house
–Complete crawl space clean out
–Beams in our crawl space treated as there had been some beetle activity in them.
–Install of an extra support beam in our crawl space.
–Insulated all missing sections in the house
After having some mild anxiety of getting all these things accomplished we called Adam from Pest Fighter (who had been referred to us). He was super knowledgeable and eased my mind that he did this stuff all the time and it could all be accomplished. All in all, it was about a week process that seemed like nothing compared to this long list of things to get done. His crew was friendly and accommodating and did a good job of keeping us informed of what they were doing. They were really a pleasure to work with.
Also, as a mom, he was very informative about certain chemicals that he used (to treat the old beams) and made me feel at ease that they weren’t dangerous, especially with a toddler running around.
On another note, Adam was aware that my daughter napped during the day and managed the work around that. I didn’t expect that, but it was a big bonus as if she doesn’t get a nap, it is World war 3 around here.
The work that he did turned out great. Our crawl space looks great and we are very pleased with the outcome. Also, it is nice knowing their aren’t rats in our attic, nor can they get into the house since the holes have all been covered up. Also, he made sure that all the work he did was up to code, which will make selling our house so much easier.
Also, it was obvious that he takes pride in the work that he does and is honest.
I rarely write reviews, but wanted to make sure I did for Pest Fighter because my husband and I were super impressed. My parents have a chronic ant problem at their house and they are going to Pest Fighter once the ants show their faces around there place.
We will use him from any work we need in the future.

Over the summer my house became infested with ants. With one phone call Adam got right to it and I never saw a single ant again. He was very courteous and just a fun guy to chat with. I highly recommend his service to anyone who is having pest problems.

Adam was absolutely awesome. Came in less expensive than 3 other bids I received and did a fantastic job. Super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely hire again.

Adam. He is calm, polite and most importantly very knowledgable. Adam is always quick to pick up your call or call you back, he works hard and will accommodate crazy people (me) who need extermination yesterday. Adam uses top of the line products that are safe for you and your family, and cares enough to keep himself educated properly by going to conferences put together by scientists to be better educated about bugs. We have trusted Adam with our home since we bought it 6 years ago, he has annually sprayed for spiders inside and out, eradicated carpenter ants, termites and bed bugs– yes– all of them, and all of them are gone. We will keep singing his praises when others’ need bug help.

Read this if you have MICE problems! We’ve been using another pest company (who will remain unnamed) for several years but they have never been able keep mice out of our house. I was thinking it was just our house or a fact of life that the little critters will get in. After hearing them in our walls, I was finally fed up and started Unilocaling to find another exterminator and stumbled upon Adam & Pest Fighters.
Let me tell you, this is the company you need, and I’m an idiot for sticking with my other one so long. They kept sending out these new guys all the time that literally felt like they were making up stuff about pest control. Getting a real expert made all the difference.
Adam came by, went right to work combing over all the nooks and cranny of the outside to exclude the mice. He knows his stuff when it comes to mice habits, set up the right traps to get rid of the ones inside, and sure enough they noises slowly stopped. Now on his final visit, not one mice was found inside and he finally sealed off the last hole, and I have not heard any more mice noises inside, finally exorcising my house of mice.
Service was excellent too, easy to reach, calling the office they were quick to get back, and always kept his appointment and was flexible when I couldn’t make mine.

Excellent service! I called on Monday and had an appointment that following week. Adam is awesome! He really cares about your concerns and really educates you to prevent more pests from coming back. After I had already paid in full, he continued to offer more services and found more issues that were fixed right on the spot. Will recommend this company and continue to do business with them.

Needed someone in a hurry as our last person was not good at all. Adam did the job, less bugs already! Highly recommened…

This review is long overdue but it also has added validity as we now have known Adam for about a couple of years now. We had a real bad carpenter ant problem. We are talking «The Exorcist» type of situation in one room. Infestation and they had wings! Got the picture? Talked with a bunch of pest control companies and got various quotes and recommendations with a lot talking about «drilling» into the walls. Adam told us his plan but also explained it and made clear it would take time but would not require drilling. Long story short, after a few weeks and additional treatment (that were actually my request) problem solved. «This house has been cleansed!»
We have had Adam come about every six months for preventative work. Never upsells, honest, friendly, and a pleasure to work with.
Final update prompting this review finally… saw one carpenter ant in the house a few days ago. Admit have lapsed in our preventative program. Could have been coincidence but one quick call to Adam and he squeezed us in tonight to treat the house.
Finding someone in pest control is tough. Take it from us, Adam is your man. Call him.
BTW…make sure to leave some water and maybe snacks for his cute dog Olive.

Adam took care of one of the most dreadful kinds of pests for us… bed bugs. Blegh, even typing the words creeps me out! We found them in our apartment first, and his treatment was fast and totally non-​invasive. He was patient with our questions and really knows what he’s talking about.

We never thought we could love a pest person as much as we love Adam. He responded instantly and was out the next day to help us with a termite problem. So friendly and responsive. Another company quoted us SIGNIFICANTLY more than what Adam quoted us. He had great tips and suggestions and pointed out things we should be aware of. He guaranteed his work, and encouraged us to call him if we had any questions in the future. Seriously, Adam is so wonderful. He left just five minutes ago-​and me the procrastinator sat down instantly to right him this review.

Adam came through for me on very short notice. I had a bunch of small bugs in my home, which we discovered had made a home in some of my dry goods. He found the source, disposed of the infested dry goods, and then sprayed the area down. Friendly and efficient. He just came through last night, so I have yet to see if the problem is resolved, but he did gaurantee his work. Oh, and he had the cutest dog ever that he brought along in his car… definitely have to meet her!

When a company posts that their hours are 9 – 5 on a Saturday, and I text at 11 a.m. (his voicemail message directs you to do so) and I hear nothing back… it’s a sign that this company does not care about your business. Even texting back to say «I’m sorry, I can’t help you today» would have been something.

I can’t say enough great things about this company! My grandma has had issues with small bugs in her kitchen for years. We’ve tried different exterminators, do it yourself stuff, spray/​bombs/​anything else you can think of but they always came back. I was expressing my frustration to a friend and they recommended Pest Fighter. Adam is great! He came out and I swear he was the bug whisperer lol Not only was he extremely friendly and 100% customer service oriented, you could tell he really knew & cared about what he was doing. He went above and beyond, listening to our concerns and pinpointing the issue.
A year and a half later and the little suckers are still gone!!! Thank you so much for your help, we appreciate it & we always recommend Pest Fighter to friends when they have issues with any sort of bugs or rodents.

We had one of the most persistent rat problems in the house we are renting. Adam was tireless. He would schedule visits to our availability, come check traps, he checked the entirety if the house multiple times and finally found the actual problem that even a home inspector missed! In the meantime, he addressed the mite and ant problems we had, without judgment and he was always cheerful and happy to share his knowledge, which is extensive. He fixed the problem, and he worked at it until it was done and done thoroughly.
Once he fixed the rat problem, he even came in after and sprayed enzyme cleaner to clean the house in the spaces we couldn’t reach. His prices are reasonable, he is knowledgeable and committed, professional and effective. And yes Olive the pup is a bonus visitor.

Adam with Pest Fighter is the best in the industry! I was referred to Adam several years ago and not only continue to work with him, but have referred him to friends and clients. Adam came out back in April to spray for the tiny house ants. He sprayed once throughout the house even though the issue was in the basement and that took care of the problem. I haven’t seen another ant.
He was easy to work with and accommodated my schedule. My kids loved that he brought his cute dog along (not in the house).

We had some carpenter ants, so we wanted to act quick. I had used Alpha Ecological in the past, but had only been getting mediocre service. Checked out Unilocal and saw good reviews here for the one man company Pest Fighter and another one man company. It was a Sunday so I left both guys a message, and decided to wait and see who will get back to me promptly.
This guy, Adam, called me back on Sunday — his day off. He let me know he got my message and asked me what would be a good time to come over. He also offered to come later in the evening if that helped with our work schedule! An offer I would never have gotten from Alpha Ecological. He offered to communicate by text and promptly responded to my questions and scheduling. Some of my questions were rather obnoxious too and he was still a trooper looking up MSDS sheets and following up with information when I needed it. Other questions were necessary as I have a toddler and two indoor cats and wanted to make sure that the treatment he was using would be both effective on the ants and safe around the baby and the pets.
True to his word, he came out the next day, took care of our problems, and we are seeing the results.
The other guy — the one who got the good reviews and prides himself on being the one who answers all of his own calls and claims to deliver personal service — I have yet to hear from him. Not even a call back and it is 4 days later. Adam from Pest Fighters has cleared our carpenter ant issue by day 4.
