Looking for a mortgage broker? Don’t work with Daniel Billett at Response Mortgage, or should I say UN-​Response-​IVE Mortgage.
As a first-​time home buyer I had more than my fair share of questions about everything from timing to rates to payment schedules to closing costs. When Daniel stooped to attempt to explain the process, he got so caught up in jargon things made even less sense. And that was when I heard from him at all.
Getting a returned phone or email message was nigh on impossible. Similarly, his follow-​up on documentation from his end was haphazard putting my closing date in jeopardy. Once I had the contact information from the loan processor, I started working with her and the escrow agent directly since Daniel was absent.
He received a commission, but certainly didn’t earn it. When it comes time to re-​fi, I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere.
