Sacha Blue

Sacha is AMAZING! We hired her for our wedding 4 years ago. The pictures and our experience with her were so great that when we were pregnant with our first we instantly thought of her. Not only do I have amazing maternity photos, I have underwater photos! I’m looking around my living room right now and have several photos up all taken by Sacha. Now that we are pregnant with #2 we are planning on more maternity photos and already thinking about family pictures down the road. She is absolutely brilliant! She’s so creative. You can trust that you aren’t going to end up with the same old wedding photos or maternity photos as everyone else.
Sacha will always be our family photographer!

Boudoir Beauties!
I first met Sacha as one of my students (I’m a scuba instructor). I can honestly say I was with her when it all started… not her amazing land based skills… but on her first trial run with her first underwater housing, she shot one of the most amazing pictures I’ve seen, and she was just «figuring out» how to use the camera underwater.
For Valentines Day, she was doing a «Boudoir» photo shoot… and I found out about it. She talked about how she had other «over 40» gals (hmmm…can I not be the HOT YOUNG model anymore… lol!). We met for the shoot… she twirled around the room, randomly shooting and I really didn’t think anything exciting would come of it. Until…
A few hours later she posted the pictures for me to see. WOW!!! I really WAS the «hot young» model!!! She made me feel like a superstar with the photos. Definitely magazine quality work. Very tasteful, classic and captured moments that were absolutely candid.
When my daughter gets married, I already have her photographer picked out. And I KNOW it’s not cheap. But if I wanted cheap… I could buy a digital camera myself and shoot as well as half of the photographers I see out there.
In today’s world where anyone can go and buy a digital camera, take a few hundred shots and then spend $ 25 getting «Sue’s Photography» business cards made up, Sacha Blue is definitely a cut above. She not only has an amazing eye for the shot, but her editing process is thorough.
If you’re looking for cheap… try Craigslist. If you’re looking for amazing, once in a lifetime, cherish until the end of time portraiture… it’s Sacha.

I have no idea who this lady is because nothing in this review matches my TWO experiences with Sacha Blue. We met Sacha at a Bridal expo in 2007 and she was awesome from the beginning. As someone who comes from a family of wedding photographers, she has more experience than most people twice her age. She’s always been kind and sweet and very easy to work with. Sacha has been accommodating of last minute meeting changes and we’ve referred her onto many friends. She photographed my wedding and was everything I expected. No Charlies Angels bridesmaids or best men tux & sunglasses picture. She captured moments that are emblazoned on my heart and now I have those moments hanging in my living room. She has gone on to do our maternity pictures and will be taking underwaters pictures of my 10 month daughter. I highly recommend Sacha to anyone who wants to have a talented, caring and artistically-​minded photographer for the important times of your life.

After having photos taken and told we would see proofs about a week later, we didn’t get to see proofs for 4 months (an extremely long time even for very popular, professional photographers), and the photos were received about another 6 weeks after that. E-​mails weren’t responded to for weeks at a time, we were scammed and wouldn’t get the photos we paid for.
To be fair, she did have personal issues going on in her life, the death of a parent and health issues with the other parent. However, she had plenty of time to go on weekend trips, vacations, spend time on Facebook Twitter, blog and do more photo shoots. She was on the computer often, as you could see on Twitter, Facebook, etc., but rarely responded to e-​mails, although the e-​mails she did send were friendly.
Also, she gave us a «discount» on our photos. It was our fault we didn’t ask for prices up front (ask for her prices if you use her and keep a copy of them!), as we trusted she’d have reasonable typical prices on prints. Her «regular» prices for us were $ 40 for a 4X6, and $ 75 for an 8X10! This is way more than other photographers in the Seattle area charge. I totally understand it isn’t cheap like Sears. Sacha does underwater photography, and charges a premium for her «sitting fee», but the print prices were outrageous and insulting.
Some of her pictures look great. I’m sure when taking hundreds of photos you can find a few that look good enough to display. After waiting 5 months to see our proofs, there were only 2 — 3 halfway decent photos. Most of them were terrible.
In the end, we were so disappointed and concerned we would never get what we paid for, and felt we were being ripped off, we got only one picture. Had we been treated fairly, and the photos been better, we would’ve ordered more.
Sacha is very young and either doesn’t know how to run a business and be professional yet, or, she just chooses to run her business as a hobby and is extremely casual about it. If she’s doing this as a hobby and running her business very casually, she should be up front with her customers and tell them that. If she doesn’t know how to run a business, I would suggest she work as an employee in a professional office environment for a few years to learn how to run a business properly and treat customers.
We were very disappointed.
