Sue’s Tailor and Alterations

I’ve been to Sue’s once and will not go again. She hemmed my son’s pants and he ended up with two different pants legs, neither of which fit. And of course he was wearing the same shoes he was going to wear with the pants so there was no excuse. From that experience, I now do the simple sewing (like hemming) myself and take my complex and valuable items elsewhere.

In the past, I’ve had some poor experiences with Sue’s Tailor. As a result, I have stopped brining in anything of great value or quality.
Instead, I’ve found that they are a great shop for fixing items that would otherwise be thrown away.
Over the past year or two, I’ve brought in several items of clothing and bags that have needed repair. Sue’s Tailor has repaired them in a way that has made me confident the items will not fall apart in the same way again. However, some of the repairs have not been very appealing to the eye.
I like that Sue’s Tailor is willing to accept the repair jobs, especially those for unusual items. The repairs have held up, which matters the most to me. And I’m thankful for their services in this regard.

Sue is amazing! I had one if those bridesmaids dresses that just did not look right even though it was already custom made. The dress was overly large at the top and waist so a ton of alterations were needed within 5 days! Sue did a fantastic job in making the dress look like it was supposed to be. Fitted and according to my measurements and way before the 5 days! I highly recommend her, especially when you have a dress that has gone wrong! She can really fix anything!

Great job. Now I look like a million bucks! Well before that let me tell you how I got there. The staff was very friendly and warming when I got there. She was helped me tailor a dress shirt and some pants for me due me getting in a little better shape! Yay me… Overall the experience was great got my clothes fitted better. Would hem again.

I’ve gotten a couple pair of jeans hemmed here, they were finished in just a couple days and they fit perfectly. It was no hassle, and very convenient location for me.

I’ve gone to Sue’s time and time again to get great alterations done on my semi-​formal and formal trousers. These I’ve used many times at formal dances and choral performances. The hems stay intact and do not fray. I recommend this place for their great turn around time and personable service.

The first time I went there was in HIgh School, because of a friend’s recommendation. I went there and had them tailor a pair of juicy couture bottom. I went home to try it on, only to find them uneven. But, I just kept it and wore it since they were basically sweatpants. I thought I would give her a second chance and went back to alter my homecoming dress my Senior year. When I got it back, I noticed it was very poorly hemmed. I was so disappointed, I had to go to a different place to redo it. This week, I just needed to go somewhere to get measurements so I can give it to my cousin in China so she can give it to her tailor to make my braids maid dress. So, I thought I would just come to sue’s tailor to get measured up. As soon as I walked in and told her I needed certain measurements, she said to me that the store was out of power. What?! It’s 75 degrees weather outside and they are the only place out of power? Does that even make sense? Then I nicely asked her again if it’s possible to take measurements. It’s not like I was asking her sew anything up! And she replies with: «I don’t have good eyes.» WTF! Really? What kind of response is that? If you don’t have good eyes then why are u even in business tailoring other people’s stuff! Bottom line is, I’m never going back there. They have horrible skills and horrible customer service. She even admitted herself that her eyes aren’t good, which says it all. She either needs to get her eyes checked out or something.
