Love this place. We stopped here on a trip from Toronto to SC. The restaurant is lovely, the staff is friendly and the food is great!

Being so close to outlet and seeing how nice it is on outside we went in. Service stunk… Two bartenders 4 people at the bar and still waited 20 minutes for a drink. Still don’t know what either was doing cause everyone else had a drink. Also she wasn’t very happy so went to bar block down and noticed group of people came in after us did the same thing.

A great place to eat! Their bread pudding is out of this world. Fresh and unique quiche every day, plenty of United Kingdom-esque dishes.

Elephant & Castle has a prime location next to the outlets to attract the hungry Grove City Outlet shoppers. It definitely worked on us. Cool name, close by, and decent menu items at reasonable prices — why not? There are a fair amount of vegetarian options, but they’re certainly not the healthiest options either. To start, we had the Pub Pretzels which I could feel clogging my arteries on the way down. Too greasy. I was not a fan of the mustard or cheese dipping sauces. Honey mustard is the only acceptable pretzel dipping sauce in my expert opinion. I ordered the Castle Stir Fry as my entrée, and I was pleasantly surprised! As I was kicking myself for ordering an Asian-style meal at an English pub, they really impressed me. They put their own unique spin on it while staying true to the classic Asian flavors. You done good! My boyfriend had the nachos for his main course.(I’ve learned not to question his actions.) These nachos are HUGE and tasted pretty good. They make you pay $ 3 for additional meat, but he got about $ 0.10 worth of chicken on there. Pure thievery. All in all, it was an average meal. Service was a bit slow but not awful. Would I come back? Eh, probably not.

Not a surprise. The food was blah, chips we ordered were clearly made yesterday… My wife’s draft beer was sooo buttery tasting I was craving for some corn on the cob after testing. Too much CO2 most likely. It happens… Fairly clean environment and the waiter was pleasant and efficient. A little disappointed but we tried something new.

Horrible service. Clean neat atmosphere As a table for two we seated right away but then it took 20 minutes for anyone to come greet us and two waiters walked right past us. After putting our drink and food order in it took another 10 minutes to get our waters. Another 15 minutes went by and we finally got our food. Food was good but not worth waiting 45 minutes for especially when they weren’t busy.

Stopped for a quick lunch. Staff was kind. They have changing tables in both men’s and women’s bathrooms(huge bonus in my book). Food was decent, salad needed more greens. Berry cobbler and bread pudding desserts were delicious!

Our meal was delicious! My husband had the Irish Stew And I ordered the beef Yorkshire pudding… It was so good that next time I come I will order it again. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli, both were delicious! A perfect place to end your shopping trip At the Grove City Outlet Mall! Our waitress, Autumn was great!!! Also… They advertised what looked like a wonderful happy hour from 8 to 11 Sun through Thurs that included half priced appetizers!

Mediocre food, cold and tasteless. Guinness Stew was mushy(took it home and feed it to the dog). Seemed like the same consistency as dog food, pieces of carrots were chopped small and the flavor was strange(parsnips?). Husband’s meatloaf was good, but his potatoes and vegetables were cold. Bread and salad are extra. Cut the portions, add bread and a small salad, but only after finding a new cook. Who wants to eat quiche for dinner? Music was too loud and the place has no ambience. Needs a makeover.

I’ve been here a handful of times now when in town on business, and whether it’s for a meal or drinks at the bar, I always feel at home. One of my colleagues is from England, and on his recommendation I tried the Yorkshire pudding. He swears it is the best Yorkshire pudding he has ever had in the U. S…and in fact he had completely given up on this dish stateside until coming to E & C. I’m no expert on English cooking but this pudding hit the spot. Flaky crust, rich gravy, and tender beef. Boom! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

The staff was so rude we left. There was 5 of us and they wanted to seat us at a table for 4. We asked for a larger table and she threw the menus on the table. So we left. Not starting a dinner off that way. There are plenty of other restaurants. Since you have to give a star they got one. But if you could not give any there would be no stars on this review.

Average, average, average. That about says it for the 3 star’s. I so wanted to like this place especially since the girl at the hotel really pushed it. The service was average, the food was average, and the décor is average. Menu needs some serious updating really hard to find anything healthy on it, pretty typical for this area. I will leave it at that.

So I would never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone! First I went in and was put on the list for a table. When I asked about how long the wait would be the hostess looked anxious and said«About 5 minutes.» 25 minutes later as I was walking in to check if my pager was not working it went off. I watched The other hostess cross my name off the list, it was ½ down on the list with about 8 names below mine already crossed off. I had watched about 4 groups that came after me go in. What? Single people get shafted for bigger parties? I was not offered a seat at the bar, even though I would have turned it down, nor was I ever offered an outside table, of which there were 7 open when I signed in. So the hostess escorts me to my table. She drops the menus on the edge of the table and keeps walking with just a word or two over her shoulder«Here you go». The table was incredibly sticky. So much so that my Room key card stuck to it. I was there because they offered a 10% discount with that card. I had to use a piece of paper to pick it up. Brandon my waiter came and he was nice if very busy. I gave him my drink order. Yea, I don’t drink alcohol and the only offering besides soda or tea was pink lemonade. The lemonade was watery and not very good. My food came out and Brandon said«Enjoy» and disappeared before I could tell him I had no silverware. About 10 minutes of my trying to get his attention or either of the hostesses attention I snagged Brandon. He apologized and went and got me my silverware. The Fork was warmer then my food. There was no seasoning on my broccoli or my «garlic» mashed potatoes. The potatoes were 2 large ice cream scoops of dry unseasoned ughhh on my plate. Ever thought to garnish or add some butter? I never expect any seasonings on my meat and there was none. Since I like my medium-rare meat more rare then medium it was cooked well. I added a tad bit salt and pepper to my meat and ate it all. However The broccoli and potatoes I left way more on the plate then I ate. I am not a huge dessert person but when Brandon asked if I was interested I thought maybe a cup of coffee and a chocolate treat would help my mood. But alas that was not to be either as BOTH chocolate desserts have nuts… While I do not have an allergy I prefer not to have nuts on my brownie or in my chocolate cream pie… So I paid my bill and left.

We went to this location on a Sunday evening around 850pm. We waited over 10 minutes to find a server who wandered over to our table. She was disinterested and didn’t do refill, check in on us and barely provided silver ware. Appetizer of onion rings was small for the price. My burger is still not in my hand nearly 50 minutes after ordering due to? I sent the last one back due to them not honoring my request of no mustard. The worst part is server and staff by the servers station swearing and complaining about customers. We are three booths away. My girlfriend chicken wrap was good visually and taste wise overall I fail to see how these basics aren’t met. The one waitress just seriously banged her head up against the window in frustration over cashing out for the night.

Good English/Irish style pub food in a spacious, comfortable environment with friendly, helpful staff. Pros: The food is very tasty and what you would expect menu wise from an English/Irish style Pub. The menu is quite large though so most folks could find sonething. Fiendly and hekpful staff. Easy in and out right off of I-79 and by the outlets malls. Cons: Not a lot of healthy or nutritious food options and the lettuce for salads is entirely iceberg.

Very disappointing visit to the Elephant and Castle. I stopped for lunch/dinner on a Sunday afternoon after visiting the Grove City outlet mall. I was seated at a two top along one wall in a very dark part of the restaurant. The blinds were closed, presumably to block the bright sunshine but it made it really dark for 4pm in the afternoon. My waitress came to get my drink order and looked very disappointed that I was dining alone. She brought my water but then disappeared for quite some time before taking my order. Once she did I went to hand her the menu and drink menu but the drink menu was stuck to the table — yuck! She saw it stuck but never offered to clean the table. The food came pretty quickly but that is about all that was good about it. The fries were not«chips» but rather American style fries and the fish bland. The breading was nice and crisp but somehow the fish inside was soggy with little flavor. Even adding the tarter and some vinegar did not help and I left half on my plate. The cole slaw that came with it was quite good and the best part of the meal. Maybe it was my choice of entrée but I don’t get the good ratings here, my experience was certainly«meh».

The atmosphere was casual and fun. The bar looks like a good place to spend a happy hour. The prices were fair and the food was very good. Every meal my party had looked and tasted excellent. Honestly, I would have rated it 4.5 if not for the service. The gentleman waiter was poor. He had no personality at the table and it was hard to ask for something because it seemed like he was going to scold us. He left plates on the table and when he would drop off drinks he wouldn’t even respond to a thank you. I imagine that the majority of this business’s customers are outlet shoppers– but I live locally. I wish they would focus on the customer service side– because I would come back if it wasn’t for the service.
