Good sized Consignment Store. Staff is friendly. Never know what you’ll find as stuff can be added daily.

This is a large place, 2 floors with several rooms. Tons of stuff! Upstairs has vintage and bridal sections that are very good. I’m giving it only 2 stars because there is an overpowering chemical fragrance throughout the store that gave me a splitting headache within 5 minutes. My companion had an asthma attack and couldn’t breathe. Needless to say, we are not going back.

This consignment shop is 2 floors full of over priced second hand merchandise. There is so much stuff in this place you cant move clothes on racks, found nurmerous clothes with stains on them. I looked at a comforter that was over priced and stained {gross}. Looks like a horders paradise, not impressed.

Being a native of Meredith, I have visited the Etcetera Shoppe many times in my life. No longer. I dealt with the most condescending, arrogant, impatient employee today while trying to return a sweater I had bought last week. I go in to return the sweater and find the employee on her cell phone. Waiting patiently for her to get off her phone and assist me she mistakenly begins to ring up the sweater and I inform her it is a return. She then proceeds to tell me that the store has a maximum 24-​hr return policy and points to a sign posted at the cash register. I tell her ‘I don’t understand’. She repeats this to the person on the phone ‘She doesn’t understand, I have to go.’ She gets off the phone and repeats herself again. She says the store sells thousands of sweaters and they can’t return it. I tell her ‘I still don’t undertand.’ She says ‘You are not listening to a word I’ve said.’ I tell her, embarrassed that she is is being so hostile, ‘I am listening but I don’t understand’. She then tells me that they cannot return the sweater because the person who sold the sweater will still receive the money. They have no way of knowing who sold the sweater at this point. I tell her the reason I am returning the sweater is that it reeked of cigarette smoke. She accuses, ‘You didn’t notice this when you tried it on? Or put it in your car? Or brought it inside your house?!’ I leave the sweater on the counter and say ‘Nevermind’, walking out of the store.
There was NO NEED to berate me for something I did not understand. Get over yourself. Next time, try a little patience and I would gladly have gone another route. You have lost a lifelong customer, ETC, because of your condescendingly hostile employee. Shame.

Never miss a visit to this place while on vacation in the Lakes region of NH. Well organized thrift /​consignment store. Two stories with multiple rooms. Can easily spend hours in here. Always seem to find something useful for a good price.

Fun store to browse in. Make sure you check the backs of the price tags…, there is a date on it from when the item came in… if it is from 3 months ago, you get 30% off. Sometimes the employees forget to check or tell you about that. Also, they don’t accept any returns so make sure you really want the item or that it fits before you purchase!

This is a consignment shop that has everything from jewelry, clothes, kitchen, furniture, books. Very good bargains and excellent variety. A good place to look for a unique present. 2 Large floors. If you wish to consign your items this is the place to go. Check in for details. For a resort community its hard to find gems like this to save money.
