This Savers location is great. I have been to this one, Newington and Bristol. The Meriden and Bristol locations are consistently great. The Newington location is hit or miss. Yes, a lot of the clothes here are used but a lot of times you find things with tags still on. I have to wear black to work so I come here for cheap black jeans. The jeans are great, I’ve bought Calvin Klein, express, other name brand jeans with tags still on! And the purse selection is really great. Obviously wash the clothes when you get them… But if you’re looking for great deals on gently worn clothing and even new clothing, this is the place! And as cheap as Savers is, they still have special promotion days where everything is 50% off! If you’re going to the Meriden mall for clothing, I’d suggest checking savers first and you’ll definitely save a lot! The missing star is just for neatness… Savers is much more organized than say, Goodwill or other donation places, but can still sometimes be a little unorganized. That’s all.

I like Savers because it is clean, and I can try on the clothes. I’ve been to Savers before, but I’ve been told this one had a better selection so I decided to check it out.(Especially now that there is no longer one in Waterbury). I was very happy with the selection and I did not leave empty handed. I’ve never had a bad experience at Savers, but I did agree with my friend — the Meriden Savers does have more. I’ve been to the one on the Post Road and there didn’t seem to be a lot of clothing there. The prices were good. I don’t think I paid more that $ 6 for anything.

I tried. I really tried. I guess I’m just one of the snobs the other reviewer was talking about. Used clothes are gross. I was looking at some and they had hairs embedded in the fibers from the last wearer. Also the building smells like urine. I’ll be happy to donate instead.

My FAVORITE Savers in the state! :D Snooty people buy a shirt for $ 50, wear it twice, donate it, and I buy it for $ 5…That’s how Savers works! And WHO’S the ignorant one in this?! lol

Savers opened a new store in the old circuit city space by the meriden mall. If you dont know what savers is and you are looking to spend less $ on things you need around the house(kitchen, housewares, clothing, shoes, etc) then this store is worth checking out. Sometimes its surprising what you can find(a lot of it is new stuff too!) i saw some *real* Le Creueset pots in the kitchen section! It’s sort of like a salvation army or goodwill store but this one is all nice and new and clean.
