My birthday is right around the corner and I told myself I was NOT going to spend another year covering my age spot that appeared just before my thirtieth birthday. I have canceled my tanning membership that I’ve had off an on since the age of 18 and I am now investing on repair and maintenance of my skin. Although I have an olive complexion, I still burn like a lobster from time to time. I have not been good about applying sunscreen to my face and I spend as much time in the sun as possible. Therefore, I have quite a bit of sun damage on my face :(and one spot is hard to miss(even with makeup). Last week I had my first full face Forever Young BBL treatment… Infrared and visible light is applied to the skin, which stimulates cells at the molecular level. Older, damaged skin cells, begin to respond in the way that younger cells do. The treated cells are reinvigorated and skin begins to look much younger. There are visible improvements in skin firmness, elasticity and pigmentation. With regular BBL treatments, the skin is clear, smooth and more youthful. Amber was VERY knowledgeable and she talked me through the whole experience as far as what to expect and what she was doing. It wasn’t painful but it wasn’t enjoyable either. The things women will do for beauty :) I’d say it’s no worse than getting your eyebrows waxed. BEPREPARED!!! It definitely looks worse before it looks better. I was told that I will probably need 2 more spot treatments on my large spot and full face treatments are recommended every three months. I will post updated pictures after my spot treatment is done. I believe they offer a special each month so don’t forget to ask. I was able to get a years worth of small area permanent hair removal for $ 89. I’m going to remove the hair on my lip and eliminate the expense of monthly waxing. I also purchased a tinted sunscreen for daily use and I am determined to take better care of my skin through my thirties! My whole experience was AMAZING and I will be back next month for my next treatment.
