Reviewed by a LOCALCAJUN!!! THEBESTBOILEDSEAFOOD, HANDSDOWN! I eat boiled seafood regularly and my husband and I drive 45 minutes to eat at C’est Bön because there are not any restaurants that compare. My daddy can’t even compete with C’est Bön! It’s a must try for out-of-towners. We bring friends all the time because of the great authentic Cajun atmosphere. It feels like you are having a crab boil down at the camp! My happy place! There are lots of other delicious menu items, but none compare to the boiled seafood!

Amazing! Definitely worth going out of the way to try. The seasoning was perfect on the crawfish and shrimp. These people sure know their stuff. It’s by far the best crawfish I have ever tasted.

We came to C’est Bön upon suggestion of a family member that lives in these parts. I love to eat at hole in the wall places that locals frequent. This is one of those places for sure. My wife, mother-in-law and I all had the Shrimp and Crab gumbo. It was very good, plenty of spice(right on the verge of too spicy), plenty of rice served with it and we orders potato salad with some of our gumbo. Potato salad was nothing to write home about. It was like going to a grocery store and getting some yellow potato salad. Not bad, but nothing great. The front order taker even warned us that it was not spectacular so I at least commend them on their honesty. It is truly a «hole in the wall». The restaurant is located in Mermentau, between 12th and 11th street on highway 90. It was fairly busy and we were able to find parking BUT I could see parking possibly being a slight issue. This is not a formal attire place and the fact they have boiled crab, shrimp, crawfish should be plenty of warning not to come dressed up. I would absolutely suggest coming here if you ever visiting anywhere from Lake Charles to Lafayette. It is about 5 miles offset of I-10 on highway 90.

Got the crab burger — crabcake on a burger bun — with tater tots. Crabcake was delicious, fried crispy, good amount of crab. The tator tots were also fried crispy, and there were plenty. Only real option near the Leevac Shipyard in Jennings, but it’s a good option.

Delicious seafood. Dont bother w/the Snow Crab. The King Crab blows it away, worth the xtra $ 4. Boiled shrimp, Crawfish Étouffée, and the Oysters were yummy. Dont come dressed. No foofoo joint here. Tank top, swim trunks and flip flops are perfectly fine. Highly recommended grub!

I thought this place was fantastic. Not a lot of fancy décor. But we got there at lunch time; the staff was slammed, but remained smiling and cordial. The food was fabulous and most ple servings. Highly recommend for Cajun quisine.

It’s early in the season so I understand that the crawfish will be small. They were still delicious though. I’m not giving them 5 stars b/c the crawfish could have had more seasoning. Enjoy the ice cream afterwards.

Those stars are all based off the food because I’ve had better service at the DMV. Six of us stopped by for lunch specifically for crawfish but they don’t boil until 5 pm. I substituted the crawfish for a shrimp poboy and it did not disappoint– HUGE fried shrimp took over the sandwich. I also nibbled someones crawfish etoufee which was so flavorful and tasty. The place was clean, so were the bathrooms. There is a separate bar off of the dinning room that seems like it would be lively at night. This roadside stop is a must for my Arizona relatives when visiting family in Welsh, now I see why. Can’t wait to try the boiled crawfish!

I can’t disagree with the review by S.W. but if the crawfish are in season boiled crawfish is the thing to get. This huge barn of a place is always crowded with locals and not-so-locals. This is the opposite of a fancy restaurant. The boiled seafood is dig in up to your elbows good. They provide wash basins soap and towels right in the main restaurant area as well as in the rest rooms.

Doesn’t matter where you’re coming from, this place is worth the drive. I’m a life-long resident of SWLA and I’m here to tell you, there’s no better seafood. If it’s boiled, order it. If it’s fried, order it. If it comes on rice, ORDERIT! And whatever you choose, order some potato salad and gumbo to go with it. Their prices are extremely reasonable too. I drove six of my closest friends to eat there a couple weeks ago and the tab for all of us was under a $ 100. Let me assure you, none of us left hungry. Why are you still sitting here? Get in your car and go… NOW!!! Don’t know why but the listing says Morse, LA. This place is in Mermentau — south of Jennings. The phone number is correct if you’d like to call for directions.
