This was my first experience at a Jack in the Box. We were at Ikea and wanted to get on our way, so we thought we’d make it easy and stop at this Jack in the Box down the street. Based on this, I would never go back. As we’d never been here before, it took us a bit to look at the menu. We realized that people were behind us, so we asked the employee to let others go ahead. He said«No, just hurry up», so we both felt relatively rushed to pick something out. It seemed really rude. I went to the restroom while waiting for the food to finish. One of the two bathroom stalls was missing its latch entirely and the other bathroom stall’s latch was stuck and wouldn’t move, so effectively, no locks in the bathrooms. A lady who was finishing up joked about it, but after someone tried to walk in on me twice while using the restroom, I was annoyed. To add insult to injury, our food just wasn’t that good. We got our chicken nuggets and french fries to go. The french fries were soggy and unsalted, and the nuggets were blackened on the edges and tasted tough and not-at-all juicy. A disappointing meal all around. The soda tasted just fine, though, so I guess that was our silver lining. My partner and I both shortly got the stomach flu after eating here. I’m not saying it 100% could be their fault, but the stomach flu is easily transmitted via food, and this is the only place out of the ordinary we’d gone. Really disappointed.

My dine-in breakfast service was friendly, but slow because one person was handling both the drive-through and the counter. Otherwise, my order was correct, and the dining area was clean. Overall, just A-OK.

This review based solely on service even though food was good as well. Young guy that took our order, I believe his name was Justin, on 7÷7÷15 around 6pm delivered some of the best customer service I’ve seen in awhile. He should be proud of himself as should his parents and his manager for going out of his way for making people feel like they matter. I’m a 24 yr USAF retiree and he noticed by my debit card that I was military and went out of his way to take care of my wife and I. Thank you Justin and good luck to you.

Jack In The Box has some good food and lots of good food. The store is a bit tricky to get to if you don’t know the area but it’s in a nice spot right by the new Ikea store. The inside is well lit and kept clean. It’s usually not crowded in there, at least when I go. So there’s not much noise to bother and sometimes they have the radio on and you can listen to the music. The servers are all very nice and can tell you what all each menu item comes with and they are good at taking custom orders as well. They have Pop and other dispensers located right at the end of where you place orders and is kept clean save for the occasional ketchup spill but that’s to be expected in a fast food place. The main problem I have is with the automated order kiosk at the entrance. half the time it isn’t even working. Whats the point in having it if it doesn’t work? I know it seems silly but I much prefer to use that to save time on ordering than go to the counter. The service is pretty good. Only once did I end up having to wait over 30 min and even then they refunded my meal because I had to wait so long and where very nice about it. Otherwise the speed of service is average. We are dealing with humans so you can’t expect it to be done instantly. Being open 24 hours is a definite plus. Can’t really think of any complaints about the actual store or service. I should also note I have never had take out or gone through the drive through. all; my experience is for dine in.

The closest JITB to me is 180 miles away. But since I’m always hearing how great it is from everyone who’s tried it… why not give it a try since I was nearby. Drive thru experience: Double bacon burger: 3 bites was enough. Tasty, not craveable, way too much mustard. They season their beef patties in a really strange way. Fries: They really sorta taste like BK fries, which would’ve been fine if they were fresh. Vanilla milkshake: very good. Cheesecake: not spectacular, but not bad. Tacos: I don’t know WHAT they put in these things. I tasted it, it was alright. I past it along for someone else in the car to taste. Then all the sudden WAITTHOSEAREAMAZING! Those greasy little things won the heart of everyone in the car. All they consist of is a corn tortilla/shell, beef(well more soy than beef), American cheese, lettuce, and taco sauce. Less than ¼″ thick, more grease than actual food. But. Let me tell you this. We sure did make sure to stop at another JITB, the last JITB, on the way back home(Chicago suburbs). I see a road trip to the nearest JITB in our future. Who’s in?

I planned to keep heading down Johnson Drive to Applebee’s. The monster-princess and I had been doing a bit of shopping and we were pretty hungry. I asked if she wanted to eat some chicken and draw at Applebee’s. She said she was not hungry and ready to go home. Folks, when my three year old says she’s ready to go home the last thing I do is try my luck. Lucky for me Jack N the Box was right here! It had been many many moons since I had food here and it had been consumed immigiatly(yes, immigiatly) in the car, and under the influence. On today’s trip I decided on a steakmealt and grabbed a cheeseburger for the MP. Strawberry lemonade for dad and curly fries and churros to share. We headed straight home. About three to five minutes and unpacked our food right away. The curly fries were ice cold. My steak melt was tepid, but the MP’s cheeseburger was still hot. So were the churros. My steak melt was pretty blah. The«steak» was pretty tough. And the processed cheese and peppers where pretty… Hmmm… What’s the word… YUCKY. I have no idea how good the monster-princess’ burger was because she slayed the whole thing! She did say she liked it. I believe her exact words were, «daddy, I really like this cheeseburger.» The strawberry lemonade was f’ing delicious. And the mini churros… Oh the mini churros! Good thing my three year old didn’t care for them because daddy gets all 10! I’m sure I’ll be back. Hopefully I’ll be in the passenger seat and eating my order on the road home!
