Lakeshore Learning Store

This is a store where my kids could literally spend hours exploring. I love that everything has an educational spin and if a product are game of interest is on sale, great deals can definitely be found here.
On Saturdays, they have a craft time and we went for the first time today. Both of my kids (2, almost 5) decorated 2016 masks to have for our NYE celebration. The woman leading the craft time even offered to give me a plastic bag to cover them so the areas with glue and glitter wouldn’t make a mess.
The only negatives I have about the store are that the coupon policy is very strict (only non-​sale items, so it might be a challenge if something you want is a few dollars less than the retail price) and the length of time it takes when an item needs to be special ordered. This was extra annoying because the item I wanted was featured in their monthly catalog. I was kind of surprised they didn’t have any in stock at the very least as displays. Truthfully I don’t even know if I’m going to love what I ordered, but they assured me that it wouldn’t be a problem to return.
Now that it’s a bit more of a hike to come down to this area (though, it’s an excuse to make an IKEA trip while I’m here) I do wish they had more than one location (and ideally one where they could stock everything featured in the catalog), but since this one is never very busy I doubt that will happen any time soon. I suppose we should be grateful we even have one.

I came here for 6^th and 7^th grade review books. The girl working was very nice and was able to show me what I was looking for. Today there were many discounts.

I love this store! And, of course, my child does too. The staff is so very nice and helpful. One day my child was having a hard time about not being able to get something and an employee came over and got her to calm right down. I was very thankful for that. We are always in the store for a long time looking around and testing things out. They have so much stuff! On Saturdays they have a craft time. They are fun for the kids to make and the instructor, who is a teacher, is very nice and helpful to the children. The only reason I am giving it four stars is that they are quite pricy. The only time I actually go is if I have a coupon. They are usually 20% off non-​sale items. Other than the prices, the store us great for parents, kids and teachers.

Updating my previous review, I contacted the customer support after my experience and gave them an idea of what I experienced. A rep called me a day later and granted me the coupon I was wanting to use. I appreciated the phone call, her time, and the coupon voucher. I went back to the store and made my purchase.
