I’m not a huge fan of this place. Overpriced merchandise and they stock more for girls than boys(pet peeve of mine). They do have a nice selection of strollers(also very expensive)…I bought mine on clearance and used a coupon. Good for the couple things you can’t find elsewhere otherwise keep shopping… you have 9 months… enjoy the shopping. :)

The customer service at this store is AMAZING! I am a first time mom of twins who lives way closer to the Orland store but after a horrible first visit, a very pregnant me vowed never to go back there. Most of my family lives in the Crown Point/Lake of the Four Season area so almost every time I’m out there I visit this store. I agree that the store is a lacking in some areas as for what they have available but with every employee happy to help and order if for you it doesn’t bother me much.

Gah! I am so torn on how to rate this BRU. If I am to rate solely on the attitude and helpfulness of the sales associates; four stars, all the way. However, if I take the serious lack of inventory(only one type of jumperoo? Really?) into account; two stars. I suppose I shall spilt the difference and go with a trio of stars. Perhaps I was spoiled by the arrival of Buy Buy Baby in Orland Park. Maybe, but I don’t think so. Babies R Us is a baby store. I expect it to have more baby related merch than Target. Perhaps it is locale driven as the BRU in Orland Park has a much bigger selection. I did find a few items of interest: another Sophie(that tenacious giraffe keeps escaping), a Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother, and a Baby Neptune Orchestra musical toy. However, whipping out my phone for a quick price comparison on Amazon(am i the only one who does this?) revealed that I could save over $ 30 by buying the items from Amazon. Side note: if you aren’t an Amazon Prime member you need to get on that, and fast. Free two day shipping on everything you order is so worth the membership fee. For real. In any case, I hit up the manager to see if she could cut me a break on the total when I showed her the Amazon prices but, unfortunately, she could not. Bummer. In the end, I put everything save for the Baby Neptune toy back(I had a BRU gift card to use up) and called it a day. Have a BRU gift card to use up? Need to register for the basics? You won’t find a friendlier BRU. However, if a plethora of choices(and competitive pricing) are your thing, you may want to look elsewhere.
