This was my first time visiting at lunch. The meatloaf was awesome and a good value. Our waiter was very attentive.

Great place for breakfast. Biscuits and gravy are amazing. I’ve been here a few times and it’s either really good or really mediocre.

This is my go to place on a road trip. They can be found off most exits. The food is always consistent in taste and presentation. Nothing fancy just good home cooked style food. FYI, If you order biscuits and gravy or grits, it’s all you can eat.

Love breakfast here. Grits, sausage, pancakes eggs the ham, wish there was one in Southern California, have to have breakfast here at least once while here

If you like Cracker Barrel then you will love this one. The staff is always awesome, the food is hot and just what I ordered. A++++++

Slow and unfriendly — stopped at 1:30 on a weekday and they had come unglued. Plenty of empty tables but still a 20 minute wait for 2 people. Hostess mispronounced by name when calling it and nearly gave the table away — then got an attitude when I asked about it.

This restaurant was PACKED out on a Sunday afternoon, but the wait was only 20 minutes. We experienced a wonderful, friendly, hard-working staff that really made us feel at home in one of our favorite restaurant chains. Can’t beat northern southern-style down home cooking!

It seems Cracker Barrel is always a solid bet when travelling. A nice home style restaurant in contrast to the multitudes of fast food joints when on a road trip. Food is consistent and tasty. Manages to taste fairly home cooked(even though I suspect it is fairly mass produced) and the serving sizes are generous. But my favourite part of a trip to cracker barrel is always the service. I have yet to have poor service from any Cracker Barrel wait staff and this was no exception. Smiley, friendly, attentive but not intrusive. A very pleasant experience.

Wait time 15 minutes, not bad especially for a Sunday morning. Food was fast and good. Thanks Laura!

This restaurant was so charming! There are cute little rocking chairs on the porch of the restaurant. When you walk in, there is a cute little souvenir shop with candies, nicknacks, and clothing. When you walk through the restaurant, it feels so homey. I walked by a nice fire place and was greeted by every waitress. The pricing is far for the amount of food you get, and you can also substitute your pork sausages and bacon or Turkey(which is awesome because I’m not much of a pork fan). Our waitress LoriAnn was great! She was very helpful with our orders, and brought us extra biscuits! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Went in here only for a dessert and I found a Great One! BlackBerry Cobbler was FANTASTIC! Reminded me of my wife’s and Big Ma’s…now that’s saying something! Our server was one of best as well! Thanks for the experience! Ended my birthday day, very well!

This place has its ups and downs. I came in this evening for lunch had a surprise in my food. A piece of long paper. It was disgusting. All they did was apologize. No refund or exchange of food. I will never come to this location again unless I am starving to death and they are giving out free food.

We just had a great breakfast by the warm fire. Michelle V. Was very friendly and helpful. I didn’t know they give all you can eat biscuits and gravy and grits. I think I ate to much.

Of the many Cracker Barrels through the Chicago and Merrillville areas this is truly the easiest off/on from an expressway. Sadly their service is so slow that the time inside the restaurant is the longest of any local CB. While we’ve been here a number of times in the last year and weren’t always impressed with the service, we still liked it for easy access and good food. Our last two visits had the slowest service and the food has dropped in temperature, drink refills have disappeared, and the portion sizes have dropped in size. Service from our waitress this last time(Linda) was wretched. Asking for honey for biscuits or replacement eggs when the over easy arrived broken and fried through, was a true attitude experience. Is honey so expensive that they now deny it to customers? It seems so. There seem to be plenty of staff and an abundance of management. Things should be flowing so much easier here than what the reality is. Managers shouldn’t be standing and laughing but making table rounds and checking kitchen quality. Seems the whole process is broken, not just a waitress or two not on the ball. The restrooms are typical here. Nothing awful or special. The store portion is well stocked and merchandised. But we come here to eat and only occasionally buy something unique from the store. I hope when we try this location in a couple months that things have improved. Otherwise we’ll be stopping at a different CB.

Have only visited a few cracker barrels around but this has been the cleanest and tastiest. Service was fast and friendly. Order was warm and delicious. We felt a little rushed by our waitress.(We did visit on a Sunday and there was a wait for tables but you still should not have placed down the check with our plates barely coming out of the kitchen) The gift shop was where we waited for our table. Cute seasonal stuff the workers walking around trying to hustle people into buying wraps and«buy three get one free!» Ornaments was pretty funny to me but I could see that getting annoying for others.

Just another Cracker Barrel. Not a bad place, but not the best breakfast, but it works. The prices are good in here, but the service always seems to be lacking.

My grandparents and I go here whenever I visit them. I always get the chicken tenderloin dinner, and okra– I love the okra. The lemonade isn’t very good, IMO, but kids would probably like it. The little shop in front has a lot of cute seasonal stuff– when I was little grandpa always gave me a little money to pick something out. This is a great place for families, not a great place for dates though. A little noisy.

Cracker Barrel is always a good choice for good olé American food especially when on the road. Breakfast is normally my preferred meal, but they have some pretty good dinner dishes too. I especially like their sourdough bread and grits. Being from Florida, I get a craving for grits every now and then, but it’s hard to find up here in the Midwest. Thank goodness for Cracker Barrel. Service is generally good, though expect hickups every now and then when really busy. Usually the waiters and waitresses with 4 stars on their aprons are very good. This doesn’t mean less than 4 stars can’t give you great service, because there are ones that have been very good.

So yes, it is a chain but it is so cute. The people are super nice, you get to pass the time away by the fireplace with the little games and checkers and the food is standard southern fare. I want to rave about that coca cola cake though. That is such a great chocolate cake. The roast beef was pretty awesome too, tender, covered in gravy — yum
