The only remaining butcher shop(that I know of) in the area! Best tasting homemade sausages in the NWI area! Before the summer is over, you have to try the Blueberry Summer Brat… not too sweet but filled with spices and flavor that gives the brat such a smooth texture and taste! The other sausages that I have tasted are the«Pineapple Bacon» — Can’t compare it to anything! «Hot Link» — Good and Hellish Hot! «Classic Polish» — Great Texture and Taste! Service is always a delight and their prices are VERY comparable to other stores!

I picked up some ribs a month back and they were fantastic. Had lots of meat and just enough fat to give them great flavor. The sausages are the best in area! They have great smoked and fresh polish. I pick some up every year for my sour kraut I make for my family. Excellent !

LOVE this place! I love being able to go to a local butcher for good quality meat… and bacon! And this place beats prices from ANYWHERE, even Costco! And the quality is second to none. If you can get past the initial smell(which is to be expected), then you will be so happy with your purchase! They have great daily & weekly deals too that I always check their Facebook for. I am so happy that we found this gem recently because we will be lifelong customers!

I was initially excited to learn that there was a meat market in the area. Walking into Piatak Meats really squashed my excitement. The selection is dismal! All I saw was steak, pork steak, and sausage. No interesting cuts of meats or hard to find birds. No quail. No duck. No smoke pork chops. No cornish hens. No turkey pieces. No filet mignon. I waited for almost 15 mins to just ask if they had more of a variety on different days. I lost my patience and walked out. Also, the side of my Volvo door got scratched in their über tiny parking lot! PASS!

We dropped by for some local meat shopping with da son. This is a nice good ol’ fashioned butcher shop with a lot of nice quality selection. It’s also apparently been around for a while. We picked up some sausages, head cheese, and a T-bone steak for a reasonable $ 7.99/lb. They also have exotic selections like duck blood and pork brain(may have to be ordered though), but it still tells you what kind of shop this is(it’s good old fashioned like I said). Business was brisk on a Sat night, as they are closed on Sundays. Nice to have around!
