The Buckle

Disappointed! I have gift cards for here. They were given to me last Christmas as I really liked what I saw of their merchandise. We went in to use these cards finally, but the experience was so bad I bought nothing.
I was approached by 4 employees while here. It’s fine if one asks if they can help you or maybe tells you the discounts of the day, but this was ridiculous. They came at me like car dealers (I loathe car shopping because of the fleas pouncing me as soon as I step into their lot). When I am shopping for clothes, I want to do it on my terms. I don’t care what you just got in (I have 2 eyes & can see your stock). You are trying to sell me jeans for more than $ 100 as if it’s a good deal (It’s not). I do not need your help in choosing what I want to purchase (I’m in my 40’s & have been shopping since before most of your employees were born). When I tell you I’m just looking, I’m just looking (leave me alone).
We left to go look throughout the mall. I went back, hoping that my first walk through was just a fluke. Nope! Second time in I was confronted by 3 employees & had 2 try to catch me as I was headed for the door.
My experience led me to buy absolutely nothing from this specific store. I’m not sure if all Buckle stores are this way, so I don’t want to slam the company. But if you all are working on commission, catch up… it’s a new century. Pay your people a worthy wage. Merchandise commission is mostly a thing of the past & it makes you look bad to still be practicing this way. If your employees are not working on commission, then WHAT IS THEIR PROBLEM? You should never treat customers this way. Good businesses know this.

I love love this store! My daughter needed some jeans,
and let’s just say, buying jeans for her can be a trying
experience.
But thank goodness we came in here. Our personal
shopper did all the work, and we left with some great
pairs of jeans!!! I’ll be back to buy myself a pair soon.
They have some really cool items, I could spend a fortune
in here for sure.
