Heading back from Devil’s Lake and Parfrey’s Glen, we got in a long, long(did I say long) line to board the Ferry. Four crossing’s to be exact. so we waited a good 45 minutes. My son was ever-restless and spotted this concession stand and more importantly, some small picture of an ice cream cone, which wasn’t visible to any other human being. It was hot, we were going nowhere fast, and what could I say? Pricing here is a little steep but it’s a sellers market in conditions like this. My son had a cookie sandwich(the extended, better version of an ice cream sandwich) and I grabbed a mint ice cream waffle cone. $ 8 in all, but the cone I had included about four scoops of ice cream. which was nice(and messy).

Hot day and waiting for the ferry. Sent kids over and they came back with some great ice cream and slushies. I tasted the ice cream and it was GOOD. Plus normal costs about $ 3.00 for an Ice Cream. Hit this shack if you have the time. The ferry is free so get a treat for the ride. A place of opportunity, not a destination. The ferry is the destination.
