My mother was in Community Hospice for a week and a half before she passed away. We can’t say enough good things about this facility and its staff. They kept my mother comfortable through the whole period. She did have pain that needed to be managed, which they did with a morphine drip. They also came in and moved her every few hours to keep her from developing bedsores and make her more comfortable. The staff learned that my mother liked music. So during the day, volunteers come occasionally to play music or sing. We could not tell if Mom knew but maybe she did, and we hope she liked it. . The rooms are very homey with a sitting area for family and friends. That was really nice for us because our Mom was unconscious most of the time and this gave us a comfortable, private place to chat yet be near her.

Wow, let me just say I bow down in respect to the doctors and nurses here. This is an amazing facility truly dedicated to quality end of life care, specifically palliative, critical end of life care. The most compassionate, caring staff you will ever encounter. There are approximately 10 rooms(approx 5 or so on each wing). Each room is set up very thoughtfully, as if it were someones actual room or bathroom equipped with space for overnight visitors. No sterile hospital linens or décor here. Handmade quilts, handmade angels. Most rooms also have a private deck that overlooks the trees. The family room looks like a lodge(stone fireplace), couches, overlooks the woods. Very serene, very peaceful, just as it should be. There is a kitchen with a chef on board ready to prepare meals any time of day by request. The staff here do everything to make sure residents are treated with the utmost care and respect. Thank you hospice house for your dedication and compassion.
