We have a wall clock that we bought years ago from Ethan Allen. It stopped working, and I needed to find someone to figure out why. The clock is too big for me to remove from the wall, so a house call was very important. Alan, from Pinet Clock Repair, came the rescue. Or so he thought. Turns out he didn’t have a tool that he needed for this particular clock in his mobile kit. He was able to remove the clock from the case — which I never would have been able to do – and take it with him. The clock really only needed a good cleaning and oiling, which he was able to do back at his shop. Very kindly, he didn’t charge me extra for the return visit to reinstall it. And his original charge for the visit and cleaning was quite reasonable. Now the clock has a sticker, like my car, informing me of the date of its next tune-up. I’ll certainly have Alan back to do the work.
