Absolutely the worst Thai food EVER!!! I have never had such horrible food before. I ordered Thai hot… what a joke, maybe 1 step above mild. Plus lousy prep on snow peas that actually looked moldy and had the stems on. Tired to eat one, was like chewing on wood. Do not recommend at all.

Monkey Brain appetizer was great! The maki rolls were very good, and my husband loved the Volcano Chicken

Had two very good meals: Basil Duck and Red Curry Chicken. The Shrimp Summer Roll was also very good and a lighter alternative to the spring roll. A delicious Thai custard finished the meal.

I ordered the Thai sushi lunchbox and picked it up to eat at the office. Everything was packed neatly and well presented despite being to-go. The location is hard to find, located in the plaza directly across Courtenay from Arby’s. The interior felt small but intimate. The meal was delicious. It was a large amount of food. I saved the pad thai for my husband who enjoyed it later for his dinner. I would like to dine in, in the future. The menu is quite vast and I would love to try their monkey brains.

I went with high hopes due to their stellar ratings… and the thought that crosses my mind is… how can so many people be wrong??? Could our? experience be so unusual? Went for lunch new years eve day for lunch. Got two pad Thai lunches and one sushi bento box. Our soup came out lukewarm and had to be returned to be heated. The gyoza like app was visibly oily. The pad Thai was again oily, and would have benifit ed from a little spring onion or basil or cilantro sprinkled on top to make it a bit attractive. The sushi was about adequate. The portion size was generous. Would I go back or recommend to a friend. No way, sorry.

We were surprised when we rolled up and it was a strip malls. The food was decent and the restaurant was clean. Thus all my basic needs were met. It had a local feel with a good pleasant welcoming atmosphere. I didn’t get a wow factor just a good vibe. Sushi was decent

Great food. If you are looking for great authentic food. This is a must go. It doesn’t look like much but don’t judge a book by its cover. I would come back to this if I am ever in the area. The portions are great sizes.

The entire menu has a vegetarian option. Service extremely friendly. After a long day of sailing you are looking for good food and this was a great decision.

We went after two coworkers said the food was outstanding. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Nam Sod. Nam Sod was outstanding and Pad Thai had no heat even after we ordered Thai Hot… I split the difference on the rating – staff very friendly and service was quick.

My last review was based on only having tried the sushi. Since then, I’ve become a regular for their noodle soup and some other menu items. They are friendly and usually fast. One time when the wait was long for takeout, they gave me some free hot and sour soup while I waited.

I must be in the minority here. I was very excited to try sumo monkey last night because of all of the glowing reviews I read here, but was underwhelmed by my experience there. I ordered the garlic lovers chicken with white rice on the side. 1. I felt like the dish lacked flavor for the most part. 2. The dish was piled with veggies and not much chicken. I know veggies are good for you, but there shouldn’t be a 3:1 ratio of veggies to chicken on the plate. 3. The service was polite but nothing to rave about. They hardly said a word to us other than asking how many people were in our party. Lastly, when I put the cash on the ticket($ 32 ticket, gave her $ 40) she asked if I needed change… Hmm… YES lol. That would have been a nearly $ 10 tip. Very unprofessional to ask guests if they want the rest of their money back. If you want a great sushi/Thai/Chinese food experience, try Thai Thai in Cocoa village. Service is not much friendlier but the food is consistently excellent.

We ate here on vacation and were impressed! I ordered a Thai iced tea which came in a nice big glass, always a plus in my book! It was deliciously creamy, cold and spiced. Then we had some spring rolls and I swear they’re the best I’ve ever had. They came out piping hot from the fryer, and after biting the crispy outer layer, you tasted a good amount of garlic, Napa cabbage, carrot and shredded meat. Came with a sweet sauce that was very tasty and a little savory and garlicky. Incredible. Presentation was nice, on a little paper doily with grated carrot and greens for garnish. The sauce was so freaking good I started to eat the garnish with the sauce! There were only 3 spring rolls to the order but just enough not to spoil your dinner. For my entrée, I had the Shrimp Udon Noodle Soup and it was delicious. There were a couple of perfect tempura shrimp floating on top with scallions, carrots and very meaty mushrooms in a very umami seafood broth. I was happily slurping noodles. The hubs enjoyed his Seafood Pad Thai. Service was polite and friendly. Too bad I’m not a local or I would go here all the time. The prices were pretty good too. If you stay on the Space Coast, do yourself a favor and avoid the tourist trap places that abound and go somewhere quality like this place. We stayed in Cocoa Beach but it was about 15 minutes away. It’s not a very big restaurant but there is adequate seating and it is comfortable with attractive décor. Highly recommend!

After the«Day of Beer» my friends and I organized that ended at Bugnutty Brewing, we were looking for a nice meal before driving back to Orlando. Sumo Monkey topped the list for Merritt Island, and the locals we asked at the brewery agreed so we decided to give it a shot. The restaurant was conveniently close to where we were and tucked away in a strip mall. We were seated at an oddly large table for 4 people but gave us room to spread out and relax. So the restaurant is a fusion of different Asian foods… which meant a HUGE menu to cover Thai/Chinese/Japanese styles(and number/letter combos next to the menu items so you can tell them you want a B3 *BINGO!*). It was overwhelming and we sat there going back and forth trying to decide what to get. I split the pan fried dumplings with a friend for an appetizer and kind of wish I’d gotten the whole thing for myself. They were cooked well and the dipping sauce was salty in a wonderful umami way. I tend to lean towards Thai food if given a choice and settled on the Panang Curry with Chicken(N9 I think?). I’ve had panang curry at many other places and this one was pretty good. It was spicier than I expected for that style of curry, but bearable to my sensitive tastebuds. I thought it strange it had a peanut sauce-y undertone, as other panang curries I’ve tried have not. The portion size was good and I ended up taking half of it home as leftovers to serve with jasmine rice. One of my friends ordered a dish with chicken but the cook prepared it with pork — the server let her know the issue and a fresh one was made quickly for her. The dish she ordered was supposed to be spicy but had barely any heat at all which was disappointing on her end. If I’m in the area again I’d definitely stop by and perhaps order the crispy basil duck which sounded amazing.

This place destroys Pacific Rim. Haha. I’ve had curry, sushi, noodle dishes, tempura, soups, salads, and a few other things here and I’ve never been disappointed. The sushi is always the right temperature and the rice is sticky and moist. I’ve tried several of the rolls and, other than picking something that turned out too spicy, it has all been good. The spicy chicken soup they serve is amazing! And I don’t even like spicy! Curries are wonderfully seasoned, noodle dishes have interesting textures and flavors, and the tempura is always cooked perfectly. To top it all off the service is wonderful! At some points there was a slight language barrier but my server(I usually have the same guy) has always been sweet, courteous, and accommodating. The décor is also interesting with comfy booths. Now that I’ve sampled a bit of their menu I think I’ll finally try the Peking duck and see what all the fuss is about. I’ve never wanted to drop 20 – 40 dollars on a single meal item from those run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurants but Sumo Monkey is most certainly not one of those and I think it’ll be worth it.

This place was great. Kind of hidden away in a small shopping plaza, it’s easily missed. The inside is nice and comfortable, friendly staff. What I liked immediately is that our waitress gave her name and it was authentic. None of this George or John stuff. Came here with four people(including myself) and the bill was 66 bucks, including drinks. We ordered the drunken angel hair with shrimp, beef stir fry, one other noodle dish I can’t recall exactly and sukiyaki as an appetizer. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. I did not like the one dish I can’t recall, it had a peanut sauce which I’m not big into on anything. My mistake, others who like that would love it! The drunken angel hair was my favorite along with the soup. That huge bowl was only ten bucks! We’ll definitely be coming here again.
