We love snuzzles. Great food and great choices! It’s easy to try something new every time. The Italian quaalude drink is absolutely delicious! Also, the cheese fries are the best. Great bar food.

The small nachos were a decent size. It was more of a nacho dip with the chips served on the side. I wasn’t blown away by the flavor though; the beans and veggies were kind of bland, couldn’t really taste the beef(not sure if there was beef even in it like it said on the menu), and I would’ve preferred real cheese instead of that yellow cheese sauce. Mario’s wicked pizza was not very«wicked.» I couldn’t really taste the hot sauce or bleu cheese dressing. The overpowering flavor was chicken and cheese. However, it was still very tasty — the dough was nice and thin with a thick layer of cheese, even though it wasn’t what I expected. The atmosphere is hard to beat — it’s dimly lit, cozy, wooden, and had the Rolling Stones playing in the background(not too loud, not too quiet). Service was good too. I’ve been here once before and the food(stromboli and breaded cauliflower) was really good. I wasn’t too impressed this time, but I still give it 4 stars because overall it’s a better than average place and they don’t rip you off.

What a great bargain in an out of the way spot near Kutztown. We have been here many times before and have enjoyed the great food served in huge portions at reasonable prices. The drinks are very reasonably priced. A round here for four people is a little more than one drink in center city. The place is always busy so be prepared to wait a bit but no problem enjoy a drink or two in the bar. You can order and eat there also. This is a cash only business do leave the plastic home. I ordered the corned beef pastrami and Swiss club. Had enough left over for lunch the next day. Wife had a delicious chicken parm that was also enjoyed the next day. Try the onion rings and get a basket of the fried vegetables with dipping sauces. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Worth the drive from Allentown PA. Great food. Great service. Extremely reasonable prices. The only con is they don’t accept credit cards. Very nice portion sizes… you don’t leave hungry.

The food was good. We ordered stromboli, and it was HUGE. It was thick, crisp, and stuffed with meat and cheese. The place was packed when we were there. Since everything is made of wood, the sound echoes, so it was loud. Service was just ok, but every seat was taken, so they were pretty busy. The major down side is they take cash ONLY, but an ATM is available. This place is in the middle of nowhere. While, I might not go out of my way to come back, if I’m in the area, I’d stop by again.

Love, love, love this place. Country feel, but hell its in the country. Really friendly staff. AWESOMEFOOD! Mind you it is bar food. Prices are right on point for portions and inflation. I have never had a bad meal here. You may ask why not 5 Stars? They don’t take credit cards. Sorry, this day in age I feel like you need to take CC’s, but its their choice. They do have an ATM onsite.

We are semi regulars here, and the last three times we’ve been to snuzzles to eat, there has been a problem. A few times the cheese has been cold on the nachos, the dough of the Stromboli has been slightly raw, and just this last time the meat in the Stromboli was cold. The server said the reason it was cd was because there are a lot of ingredients, and the cooks don’t like to burn the dough. Really? The only thing that is preventing them from getting a two star rating is the fact that the fries and sandwiches are great!

Love this place! Love the atmosphere, love the food, love the super large and super cold beers, used to love all the staff but lately there have been some new and not so friendly faces. :/ The cheese Stromboli is freaking amazing. Just tried a chicken cheesesteak and it was also really good… the meat is seasoned and moist and very flavorful. I love the Ellen sandwich, all the hoagies, and the regular cheesesteaks are awesome too. Really good(and really spicy) wings. Salads are good, fried cauliflower is good, honestly never had anything bad here! It’s a cash only place which can be annoying if you don’t know about it first. Anyway I highly recommend this place. It different and charming and I would miss it if I left the area!

I go to Snuzzles fairly often and usually I have a fairly great experience. I think they have some of the best pizza around, and their pricing is inexpensive for the amount you get. Also, it is worth noting that they have cheap drinks(Long Island for under $ 5!!!) so you can imbibe on a budget. I have one problem, besides the cash only policy, and it really should be adjusted. I have ordered their Italian hoagies before and while they are always decent, there’s a part of me that thinks there is something off. Today, I ordered one with oil and vinegar and when I bit into it I finally understand the issue. Their oil and vinegar is actually italian dressing. Of course this may not normally be a problem as more than one location uses this dressing on hoagies but to ask a customer if they prefer«oil and vinegar» or «mayonnaise» and come out with something that is neither, it seems to be a blatant lie. I decided to ask our waitress, who was very nice, what the deal was and she congratulated me on being the only person who realized it was italian dressing and explains that when they say oil and vinegar that they actually mean Italian dressing… Weird… That’s a lie… SNUZZLESFIXTHIS!!!

Snuzzle’s is unique and affordable. The food is excellent, the environment is awesome and the bar is the comfiest in the area.

The sandwiches are ok and the pizza is pretty typical for around here. The best thing on the menu are the salads but they lack a variety of vegetables and are made mostly of lettuce, cheese, and cold cuts. I like the atmosphere for the most part. It would be nice if you could get a simple burger and fries since the menu doesn’t appeal to everyone most of the time.

Favorite lunch spot! Simple menu, but good variety of traditional favorites. Large portions, great service. The fries are our favorite, with cheese or without.

I was initially skeptical of driving all the way out to Mertzville to visit Snuzzles. While the building is kind of nondescript on the outside, it’s warm and cozy on the inside, with fireplaces and lots of wood paneling. Having heard that Snuzzle’s is known for their large portions, I split a chicken cheesesteak hoagie with someone else. This was a good idea, because the half that I got was as big as basket it was being carried in and packed with chicken. It was perfectly sized to be filling, without being completely stuffed. Having eaten a lot of chicken cheesesteaks in my day, this one was pretty high up on the list. My only tiny tiny complaint, was that there was a bit too much oregano on the sandwich for my liking. Our waitress was okay — she was very busy b/c this place was packed and forgot some waters that were requested and it took quite a while to get drinks back from the bar, however nothing terribly bad. I would definitely come back here again! Oh, and drinks were bargain basement prices, which doesn’t hurt!!! $ 6 for a martini? $ 4 for a big glass of draft beer, don’t mind if I do!

Took family here. We all loved our meals. One downside was the amount of fries you get. For $ 3.25 for an order of fires, I expected much more on the plate to share. I asked about this and was told they sell by the weight. I guess potatoes are more expensive in this neck of the woods in PA. Just a bit stingy on the fries. :) Would go back though, not a deal breaker.

My wife and I found this place as we were desperately looking for any sign of civilization in this area. It turned out to be an oasis of beer and Stromboli larger than your face! I had the wicked Stromboli which is their take on buffalo chicken. The restaurant that claimed to be very spicy. It wasn’t as spicy as I expected but it was very flavorful. My wife had the roast beef with horseradish Stromboli and this being a rare occasion, I was actually jealous of what she ordered. Perfect mix. Highly recommended. If I were in this area again, I would seek this place out.

I really like Snuzzles. There food is delicious and you always get decent size meals there. The best part of Snuzzles is the menu itself. It’s creatively laid out also has a large variety of sandwiches, pizza, and stromboli.(the meglet is to die for). The restaurant is very spacious so you never feel crowded there. The bar is big, and has lots to choose from. Snuzzles is filled with locals which makes it have a hometown feeling. Warning though, they only accept cash.(ATM on site)

The best«secret» in Berks County? A restaurant located in the middle of nowhere that doesn’t even have a sign is kind of cool in its own right. From the outside, it’s a rather nondescript wood building in a gravel parking lot. But somehow it beckons you to find out what’s inside. Once inside, you’ll find that the building is divided into two sides: a dark but comfortable bar area, and a cheery, bright, expansive dining room. I prefer the dining room. Custom woodwork abounds. If you are into wood, it’s worth the trip here to see how they did it. It’s not super fancy or intricate, but it is rather unique. The drink menu is outstanding. I’m not a martini or mixed drink guy, but if I was, I think I’d spend the next year trying them all out. The beer menu is quite excellent as well, with a good selection of draft and bottled beers including Guinness on tap. At first glance, the menu appears to be standard pizza and sandwich shop fare. But it’s really better than that. Great apps, salads, pizzas, and strombolis. I like the pizza with«attitude.» The sandwiches are some of the best you’ll find in the area. Always made with fresh ingredients. The mushrooms in particular always seem so nice and fresh. This being the heart of Mushroom County, I think they get it. Awesome french fries too. Don’t be afraid to ask about the«customer creation» selections either. Sandwiches with names like«The Bill» or the«The Ellen.» I think my favorite is the«Snuzzlene.» If you live in Berks and haven’t been here yet, it’s worth a look. Is it worth a drive from say, Philadelphia just to eat here? Probably not. But if you find yourself in the area, plug Snuzzle’s into your GPS and check it out.
