I originally wrote a one star review. That was more about my horrible experience with the Alamo Claims Department and Alamo ‘customer care’. We have been renting from this Alamo location since 2008. The service had always been great at the counter. The manager did his very best to make things right with the issue regarding the Claims Department. He was very professional, even when I was losing it on him about things he was not in control of. I appreciate the manager’s calm demeanor. I eventually came around to acknowledge Phoenix/​Mesa Airport Alamo didn’t fail me, the claims department did. They are belligerent pigs to deal with, and Alamo ‘customer care’ really doesn’t, until you write a negative review. At that point, they are all over your issues/​concerns.
H, the manager at Phoenix/​Mesa, single handedly brought us back as the loyal customers we were. Well done, H. You are awesome!

I have bad experience with this location. I got flat tire and no one help on time. There was no spare wheel in car so I almost miss my flight. I have to pay über to catch my flight and they didn’t bother to resolve this issue. I called few times on this location and i was on hold for atleast 25 to 30 min.

Excellent, friendly service. I used the kiosk to avoid the line and was quickly able to head to the parking area. The lady there quickly handed me the keys and eve gave 2 complimentary water bottles!

My wife had rented a car for me online, and I arrived at the car rental lines only to find that the Alamo lines led to two kiosks! Before I could despair, a very helpful gal walked me and the next person in line through the process, which was quick and clean.
The next step was to walk to the rental stand located about 100 yards away outside. As I approached the small building, I was met by another Alamo employee offering a bottle of water. They had me in an upgraded car within five minutes.
I have never used a more friendly, helpful car rental agency.

Rented a car this past weekend and the service was superb. The airline I was on was very late getting into PHX Gateway (seems to be pretty commonplace with Allegiant) and the Alamo staff stayed late until we arrived ensuring we were able to pick up our vehicles. Their service and dedication is very appreciated and I will not hesitate using them again.

I could not be more annoyed with the swindlers that are Alamo. I was basically charged twice for the same rental. I paid through Allegiant when I booked my ticket and then paid an additional in $ 70 in «taxes.» Absolutely scandalous and a complete rip off. (Approx. the same price as the original rental). Of course, when I requested a refund to take my business elsewhere, they blame it all on Allegiant… who, surprise… they don’t have a phone number or contact info for. Absolutely terrible business. I plan to make this known in every possible location I can so that I can prevent this from happening to more people. Oh, and I would like a refund of the money I was scammed out of.

I needed a rental car due to my dad being in the ICU in Scottsdale. I was a little stressed. The Alamo staff at the Phoenix-​Mesa Gateway Airport were not made aware of my situation. I add this information to make a point. From the minute I approached the desk in the airport until I dropped the car off 3 days later, I was treated so well. I was greeted with an ice cold water and was given a very clean, reliable car to drive. I will absolutely rent from Alamo in the future.

Rented a van in the Mesa, AZ area. We had an issue with a cracked window. It wasn’t apparent when we picked the car up but by the time we returned the vehicle days later the crack was over 12 inches long. I explained the situation and Alamo did not charge us anything which we really appreciate!!! It wasn’t our fault to begin with but I don’t think all companies would have believed us! So Thanks Alamo!

This is my second time renting a car from Alamo at Mesa Gateway Airport and both times have had excellent service. I appreciate them handing out cold water when I went to pick up the car. Returning the car was simple, pull up and hand over the keys! I will gladly do business with them again.

I booked the car for the wrong airport in phoenix. they were very nice to point that out, and then took very good care of me. I was very happy with the service and the car. Checking in at the mesa airport is the quickest I have ever seen.
