My wife and I attended the Neil Diamond Birthday Celebration on January 16 expecting to see a decent concert. This was our first trip to the Arizona Events Center and our last. We had called to see about the seating and and the person on the phone was very rude. We should have known better. Upon entering my wifes purse was inspected and she was made to toss her bottle of water in the garbage(which she needs because of her diabetes), because they want to sell the same bottle of water for $ 2.00. The seating was lightly padded card table chairs, very close together. The show was supposed to start at 7PM but didn’t start until almost 7:30. When the the band started playing the sound was Full Blast and VERY distorted and when vocalist talked or sang? the sound was even worse. You might be able to understand every half word. These were supposed to be a tribute to Neil Diamond but it was like listening to cats fighting. My wife left after about 15 minutes as did many others. This was the WORST concert we have ever been to. Most of the people attending were older and not kids. We will not be returing to the Arizona Events Center.

Horrible venue. Show started 25 minutes late without any announcement. Seats were so close together if someone wanted in or out everyone had to exit to aisle as people couldn’t walk past you even if you were standing. No heat in place so people were wearing coats. Audio was so bad and muffled you couldn’t hear most of what was being said or sung. We left after 40 minutes and manager asked us why do we gave him a couple of reasons then he started arguing with us. Totally unprofessional. Would have given 0 stars but not an option.

We were foolish enough to attend the Elvis’s Birthday Show at this venue. Not sure what we expected but what was delivered was shockingly poor. Smelly people, an MC in a purple suit, beer bottles clanking on a cement floor, a sound system that supports bass and drums only, seats with no view, and all this before the show even starts. We left after the second song by the warm up Elvis Impersonator. Just say no to attending anything at this venue!

There are really no words to describe how terrible this experience was… my husband and I came here with another couple to see Rocky Horror Picture Show and were very disappointed. I can handle offensive adult humor but this was just disgusting. I honestly don’t know what was worse, the terrible body odor and obnoxious(wanna be) actors screaming in the crowd or the complete lack of organization for this show. There was a particular crowd actor who kept hinting for a group orgy… vomit. This movie is much more enjoyable in the clean comfort of your own home. The front staff was nice but once we made it back to the show things just got creepy… I will not be visiting this venue any time soon.

Not as bad as I thought, the stage is hard to see though, and the chairs are all on the same level. The bathrooms were clean, the ambiance is not great, but you can see they are trying to make it decent. The bar and everything was fine. Reading the other reviews on Unilocal helped me lower the bar really low, so when I came in and saw that the sky was not falling I was happy. We got good seats at the front for a burlesque show. If you get there early enough try to sit on the far left side because they usually turn the lights off lower and you have a better view of the stage. We saw a burlesque show, which was pretty bad, the host was talented and sweet, and few other girls were good, but for the most part it was unorganized and the students should not have had SO much time on the stage, killed the feel of the show. On Groupon, they should tell people students will be on most of the time because they were students, NOT pros. If it were free I could ignore the student aspect, but since we were paying, I expected a more professional and beautiful show. The staff at the event were nice and courteous though, didn’t have any problems. The air was not hot or cold, maybe because it’s winter time, but it didn’t feel bad like I read from other Unilocal reviews. Last thing, they had a bad Santa for the show, the guy did not match, he was not sexy or talented or witty, just acted like a Jr high school boy. Felt bad, it didn’t match the High Quality level of the host who was singing beautifully and looked great, the guy just kept taking the feel of the song to a trailer park, while the girl was theater concert level. I didn’t rate the AZ center based on the show, only the poor stage setup, lack of ambiance, and lighting.

I recently saw a burlesque show here and was disappointed in the venue. It was hard to see the stage because the seats weren’t staggered or tiered, it was warm inside despite ample space, the sound system is antiquated and there’s a pillar near near stage left that blocks the view for attendees. On the upside, The bartenders and private security staff are friendly and I feel the prices for drinks and hamburgers and hotdogs were reasonable. Definitely room for improvement.

Went went to the«Three Shades of Comedy» show at the Arizona Event Center on the 17th of October. It was supposed to start at 10PM, but we weren’t allowed in until almost 10:40 and the show didn’t start until 11:00. I have never seen uniformed gestapo at the door of a comedy club before so I kind of figured they were part of an act or something. The comedy stage was set inside a huge room, part of a closed Home Depot or Sears store and while there was seating for well over a hundred people, there were about 35 in the audience of which approximately 15 paid to attend,(lots of relatives and friends of the performers). Some of the acts were so-so at best, but I can say for certain that I have never been to a comedy show where the comedians heckled members of the audience.

This place is a joke. Its a «business» that is operated by what can only be described as carnies and likely ex-cons. Seems to be common for them to leave people standing in the parking lot for 90+ minutes after they were supposed to open the doors. The door guy who another reviewer referred to as «a pain in the ass» then proceeded to verbally threaten a woman who had the nerve to ask when the crowd would be let in and asked why the tickets said that the door opened an hour and half prior. When people asked for a refund, he went back inside and refused to come back out. You might need a flea dip after visiting this establishment. Buyer beware.

A friend and I came here to see The Rocky Horror Picture show. The venue itself wasn’t too bad. I felt comfortable inside and out. It had a very night club type feeling to it. For me, I’m not a huge fan of Rocky Horror and I probably watch it once every 5 or so years so I probably won’t visit soon.

This review is for the venue and not the show. I went to a burlesque show here and was completely disappointed in this place. Show started late, uncomfortable seats that were poorly arranged and way to close. If you are sitting in the middle, the entire row has to clear out in order to get up. I ended just standing at the bar for the last half of the show. I was soooooooo hot in there I was sweating. I can’t imagine how the performers must have felt. Drinks were arena prices for tinier cups Notably, the bar was dead(which at least made it easier to get drinks). Oh, and no citrus. The sound guy didn’t have a clue what he was doing which made for some very awkward silences or he played the wrong song completely. All but 2 employees seemed completely miserable but one of them just started today. I won’t return for any show here! This was a 0 stars from me.

This place is ridiculous. The show was supposed to start at 10 after door were to open an 9. We finally got in at 10:30. Our ‘VIP Table and Wine Service’ was a 3 dollar bottle of wine and the edge of a folding cardboard table with 6 other people(10 people at a table for 6). When I told the guy helping us find the table that this was ridiculous he got in my face yelling ‘Don’t Dis the Company!!!’ There was no organization and this production seemed like something that high school kids would put on in their garage. I was truly embarrassed for the people who run the place. Just sad! Skip this place at ALLCOSTS!!!

Complete Disorganized, Disingenuous, Disregard for their patrons. After 2 plus hour in 98degree heat with 65% humidity, women were either passing out or cutting in line. the show was to begin at 10pm doors only opened after 10:30. The Fat Bald Pig of an owner«WAYNE» was more interested in selling cheap liquor with 14 plus bartenders, 4 dancer, and 2 and a half security guards,(One of which, beer in hand, obviously drunk) No one employed there knew anything about what or when anything could or would happen. I forgot to leave my pocket knife in the car and was unsurprised to find that no search take place, only women’s purses, for profitability I’m sure. We walked out of this completely misleading«VANILLA» event, went to a local I60 at the I10 Cabaret which was less expensive, 20 plus dancers and better drinks. My only regret was going to this place at all. If you think this review is unfair just wait until your on the receiving end of this rude staff and unforgiving owner, after paying good money, being treated like SHIT. To give this place 1 star is an insult to all the other 1 stars. RUN, DON’T WALK, AWAY!!!

Went to the Rocky Horror Picture Show, didn’t know what to expect based on the mixed reviews. We had a table vs seating in the rows of chairs. So glad i was at the table with more leg room and personal space. The bottle of wine that came with the table was fine. The show it self was great with the exception of the gal yelling so close to us it became annoying and took away from the experience. I would suggest less yelling so others can enjoy the show

I really wished I could vote higher but… Came here for the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The Staff was nice, it was spacious, and the bar made good drinks. The sound was not quite there, the screen was tiny and I’m assuming it’s venue rules that you couldn’t bring your own props and make the expected mess. It was still fun but just not the sensory overload that’s expected. It is however a great place to bring your«virgins» to the show, especially if this isn’t their cup of tea. The cast, crew, and even the security are what makes it worthwhile at this venue.

Extremely spacious center with great ventilation, open space, and sanitation. It has ample parking in the front and the setup is great for any sort of large-population event. Lighting and sound systems seemed to be available. I was here for a beer fest I found on Groupon. As an event-goer I can say that I was very satisfied with the layout and cleanliness.

So my wife and I decided it was time for her to see the Rocky Horror Picture show again, as it had been a few years. Myself, having never seen it, thought it would be fun after her description of how these shows«usually» go. We purchased the tickets using Groupon for a reasonable(at the time) price. Upon arrival she was giddy with anticipation. We get to the door and were greeted actually nicely by the couple of robocops they had. Walked into the venue and were greeted by an asshole for our tickets. Looked around at the seating arrangements and picked what we could out of the many cramped rows of shitty, yet nicely soiled and tattered folding chairs. I mean, who doesn’t love their ass falling asleep whilst having your knees in someones liver, and the same favor being returned?! Amirite or amirite But hey, the cocktails weren’t terrible :) They go through the rules and such with crowd participation, that was pretty cool to me as it was a new experience. Movie starts and that’s where bad went to worse. Not only was the sound so low you couldn’t hear shit being said from the 2 mini projector screens, but it also had this hi-pitch to it. Then as the movie progressed, we were delighted to be forced into hearing shitties seeded throughout the venue. It was like the worst talent show at an Jr High. They completely ruined the experience with their all so well scripted in-betweeners. My wife, who had seen this show multiple times, was put off by these douchers… man and woman alike. They did not sit, they roamed across the back and sides yelling shit as if it were making the experience oh so much better. Much to our surprise, we weren’t the only people who thought it was over-kill. Just about everyone within hearing distance was getting more agitated. Not only was this one fatty(white fat ass with shitty tribal-esqu gauged earrings a red shirt horrible hipster style beard and lovely body odor) running back and forth being annoying, but he was also very vocal on how he was forgetting what to say, saying it early. Needless to say, I would rather give our $ 35 to some tweaked out stripper on the corner begging for money next time rather than give our money to this production or establishment who didn’t even try to curb the obnoxious morons. PS, we only lasted an hour or so: p

My wife surprised me with tickets to the rocky horror picture show. After she told me I read the reviews and was freaked out. Almost didn’t go. So so glad I did. I had the best time. From the moment I walked in security was funny and friendly. Ac was on and it was a great temp in the event center the whole time. Bathrooms were spotless. Drinks were reasonable prices with friendly bartenders. I even met the manger who too was friendly and engaging. Enjoyed every minute and don’t understand the reviews on Unilocal. Can’t wait to go again :)

I am here for the«50 shades of men» show and I had a question for the personnel working the door. I approach a woman with a security shirt to ask her a question and immediately she pointed in my face for me to go to the end of the line without hearing my question. I was very offended that she didn’t bother to hear my question which was pertaining to the cost of the show and if there was a different line for people with a groupon. I overheard that the woman’s name was Dianne. Very very rude. This interaction represents the entire establishment. The cashier also called my friend a «dumb dumb». I will not ever return nor would I recommend this place to a friend.

I’m going to get right to the point no one working at the venue has ever heard of customer service. The security people were fine but the staff working the door and the bar could careless if you enjoyed your experience there. They never said please thank you or anything nice. I get this is mainly a fight venue but geez folks smile say hello. We went for Rocky Horror and we got ripped off via Fill a Seat as we had to pay $ 15 at the door for 2 drink tickets. Groupon folks paid $ 13 for two entry’s no drink minimum. For my $ 15 I got 1 bottle of water a 10 cent value and an Icee. The $ 152 drink tickets is a rip since the posted price for well drinks is $ 6. The chairs are way past old and worn out. The rows were way to close together. The only positive I can give is that the bathrooms were actually fairly clean and had soap and all appropriate paper products.
