So, I want to get a cheap frame for a bed that a friend gave me for my guest bedroom. I headed into beds america. Place is empty. One woman running things. I say hi I’m looking for a simple metal frame for a cal king. Immediately she tries to upsell me– oh I have these nice ones with headboards… I shut her down– nah, just looking for something simple and bare bones. She looks at me like I have a d*** growing out my forehead-​oh we don’t have any of those… like I’m a retard for even asking. So I go «oh ok, do you know who does, ’cause I’d like to give them my money. Figured a bed store would be a pretty easy call on where to get a frame» AND THEN she says «well when I get those in I like to save them for people who are buying a bed. I do have 1 left but I can’t sell it, to you.» I guess some people would rather not sell anything than create a relationship with the potential for future business. Nice business model.
