Child Air originally came to my home under a home warranty contract, and even though my home warranty is long expired, I continue to use Child Air because they are knowledgeable, professional, and honest.
I have an older HVAC system, and have had some small issues over the past few years. Child Air has never tried to «up-​sell» or scam me for unnecessary repairs.
One great example: I was blowing the main disconnect fuses, so the system would not work. After replacing the fuses myself and having them fail yet again, I called Child Air. The technician (whose name I cannot remember), after testing the electrical wiring, explained that the aluminum wiring can loosen over time, causing excess electrical draw and heat, and off go the fuses. He replaced the fuses, tightened the electrical connections, even gave a me a couple extra fuses just in case, and I have not blown a fuse since.
It would have been very easy for the tech to blame some expensive electrical component that would cost me more, but he didn’t. Last year, I needed a fan motor replaced, and Child Air once again was honest and competent. I was wary since the motor seemed to cost more than expected, but after doing my own research online, I found that Child was totally truthful in telling me that my particular motor was a bit unusual and therefore a bit more expensive. They did the work for a reasonable price, and my old system continues to function well.
It’s nice to feel like you have someone in your corner when your HVAC system acts up, and I feel I can rely on these guys to be professional and honest. Keep up the good work, Child Air!
