An old locally owned craft store fell through a gap in the space-time continuum and landed in Mesa. Lots of weird things land in Mesa, so it’s not like a ton of people noticed. Craft City is a different kind of experience than Michaels or Joann: the reason to go there is to see what’s around in beads or fabric or random bits of wood that the big chain craft retailers don’t carry. You may luck into very old stock. I have no idea of the provenance of the little resin fruit baskets I bought there, or even whether they were made in this century. That’s why you go.
