Just moved our wave runners from Public Storage. Half the price here, a bit smaller space, but still a big savings. Michelle helped us, very nice and we had zero problems.

What a frustrating experience our journey with Cube Smart has been. We should have seen the writing on the wall when the person assisting us with reserving our unit had only worked there for about a week and was the only one there. He was trying so hard, pleasant and apologetic for his lack of knowledge, but he had not received the appropriate training to be left alone. If that’s not bad enough, I later found out, he is the MANAGER! This company hired someone with ZERO experience in the storage industry, and threw him to the sharks without training him. It took 3 hours… YES, three HOURS, to set up our account and get the keys to our unit. When we were taken to the unit, it was a split unit, which is not what we asked for. Not only did this mean there was a wall in between the items we were storing, this also meant we had to purchase another lock. Because we didn’t want to deal with the new employee trying to figure it out, we decided to let it go and deal with the split units. We went in the office to return the single lock and exchange it for the double lock. It took another 20 minutes for the new employee to call another manager to help him figure out how to void the initial credit card transaction. Again, not his fault, but completely unacceptable. The next day, we filled the moving truck with our belongings, drove to the facility, and our assigned gate code didn’t work. When my husband went inside, there was a very pleasant and seemingly knowledgable man, who happens to be a manager at another location and was just covering a vacancy. He explained to my husband that when there are split units, it throws off the code system because you have two unit numbers assigned to your name. Since the sales associate had not been properly trained, he didn’t know this. The new manager«fixed» our code. We got in, unloaded, and left to load the truck once more. Later that evening when the office was closed, we arrived with a second truck load of belongings. The code didn’t work… AGAIN. It was 30 minutes before 10:00PM and the access hours end at 10. Here we sat, with a truck full of our belongings and nowhere to put them. I called the 800 number and sat on hold for 28 minutes. When I finally got someone on the line, she had to involve her manager and they assigned us a code completely different than the 2 before. This code supposedly has«special access» and we can go in anytime, even after the posted«access hours.» The code worked, and we got in. As if I’m not already super annoyed about my experience with this facility, about 40 days into our agreement, I get an email notification that my account balance is past due. I had signed up for automatic withdrawal at the time we set up the account. One more thing that was not done right. If I hadn’t already moved my belongings in the unit and I had all the time, money, muscles, and moving trucks in the world, I would move my things to another facility. The place is clean and seems pretty secure, but that’s about the only positive. I did reach out to customer service to file a complaint with the district manager, and what do you know– she was the INTERIM district manager. Just another confirmation of what a horrible company this must be. There is not an ounce of tenure in any of their staff and there must be a reason for that. We still have not spoken. It became a game of phone tag, as she is located on the east coast, and I am obviously in Arizona. If you have another choice, I would not recommend Cube Smart. If you don’t have another choice, it’ll do, but put your patient pants on before you ever step foot inside.

I was helped by three different managers here and they were all incredible and patient. They answered all of my questions and never got frustrated. They showed me several units till I found the perfect one. Then when I changed my mind and needed to trade locations they made the process incredibly painless and fast! I never spent more than an hour in the office and they went above and beyond to help me.
