I have gone there for years because I liked the PA but dealing with the office staff is difficult. The person making the appointments is rude and difficult to work with. I have never met with Dr. Dayton but now that Kim is gone from this practice, I think I will leave too.

My wife was in a minor fender bender, so she called Dr. Dayton’s office because she was having some neck pain. The receptionist refused to schedule an appointment to see the doctor (apparently Dr. Dayton doesn’t treat car accident victims — it’s part of the paperwork that you sign when you first see the doctor).
Unfortunately, we have an HMO, so we either have to see our primary care physician or get a referral from him. Well, the receptionist also said that was not possible.
So, my wife called our insurance and they couldn’t believe that he has such a policy. They recommended that we change doctors while they investigate.

let me begin by saying that my wife has been going to Dr Dayton for 13 years and i have been for 3. Dr. Dayton really is a great doctor spends time with his patients and will really work with you to figure medications out if needed. That being said… lets talk about his office. they are not nice, it is hard to get an appointment if you have a life.(i was called into work and cancelled once and now they treat me different). the best part is if you question the staff they will hang up on you and not return your calls… this is very professional ??? I could go on with problems I have had with them.
I can’t imagine how he can be such a great guy and let his employees treat people like that???

While I haven’t seen Dr. Dayton yet the office staff is rude and does not care about your personal health or well being. The nurse, Kim, is AWESOME. However, I’ve been under a pain management program for 4 years and the staff has been completely incompetent in getting my refills for pain meds. I understand the law has changed but they couldn’t even find a way to get me through 5 days of pain until my Dr. appointment. I will hold off on my review of Dr. Dayton until my appointment.

Dr. Dayton has been my Primary Care Physician for nearly 10 years and my husband and 5 year old see him and his NP Christy. He is very friendly and attentive. He listens to what I have to say, and takes the time to be friendly, too. The entire staff is helpful and nice.
