Del Rio Lodge

I love this motel! It is very family friendly, and the rooms are clean and nice. The staff is Serbian (not from the Czech Republic), and are very nice people. The rooms are also inexpensive, and have weekly and monthly rates. We were even given a basket filled with fruit and chocolate! The location is near a pharmacy, banks, grocery stores, etc. and even though Mesa may not seem like the best area, Del Rio Lodge made up for it. I recommend this to everyone who comes to Mesa for vacation, and this is my go-​to place for overnight visits.

Over four years ago I went to this establishment to see whether or not it was suitable for a long-​term stay as I was going to be driving a cab for the business directly across the street. The woman from Czech Republic showed me the room and was unusually impatient and abrupt as I asked her relevant questions about WiFi, weekly rates and more. She then became belligerent and almost hostile toward me with a bad attitude and I realized I wanted no part of this place. I decided on a motel next door and couldn’t be happier. Sadly, she she’ll never know that her inability to be even remotely polite has probably cost her in excess of 40k.

Loved my stay at Del Rio! Great location, safe and clean

I needed a place to stay for a week with my mother with access to kitchen and internet. Since I live on a student budget, other places I found were too expensive. This little family place made our week. Owned by a family originally from Czech Republic, they have made from this place a safe, family friendly and on a budget place. Their clients include pilots and flight attendants from airlines that arrive to Gateaway airport and many snow birders (even from Canada). They are very careful on who can stay here, and despite the location doesn’t seem the most convenient, you are close to 2 light rail stations, Safeway and Mekong grocery stores, a Chase bank and a pharmacy.
Rooms are very clean (I’d say cleaner than the room I had in a strip hotel in Vegas) and if you needed during your long stay you have also can have it cleaned daily. Washing machines are available there too. Pool might be bit small but is well kept and clean. All together my mom enjoyed and I was glad to pay a fair price for more than I expected. Oh yes, better than a motel 6 :)
