So it’s been a year that I have been to this salon and a lot has changed for the better. New location and plenty of parking available. She has more staff and one of them just trimmed my ends 2 weeks ago and I really like. I can’t remember the lady’s name but she sat me down in her chair extra early sine I arrives their early. Then she took her time trimming my natural hair in the dry natural state too. She was very thorough and pleasant to speak too. This salon still has a repeat customer which is ME!

AMAZING! Basically the only word to describe my experience at Miss Jazzy Braidz! I am more than thrilled with my new locs and look. I had the pleasure of working with Miss Jazzy. What an awesome women and loctician! I was actually late from my GPS, which was totally my fault, but Miss Jazzy was more than willing to work with me to get to the right location. The saloon is very nice and clean, and the overall atmosphere is just really chill and inviting. My mom, who braids, actually loves the style I received and that’s all the approval I need. She already wants me to book her an appointment for when she visits from out of state. It has been extremely difficult to find an African-American hairstylist in Arizona. So to find this gem was like a blessing and I do not mind driving from N. Scottsdale at all for this quality. It’s only been day one after getting loc’ed up and I’ve already got more compliments then I can count. The barber, Harold, hooked my cut up at the end and is super hilarious. When I’m telling you this boy can cut, HECANCUT! Seriously I saw him knock out 2 cuts that I wanted myself! Overall I’m just really happy about the quality of work they do, especially Miss Jazzy. If a loc wasn’t setting right she would re-twist until it was perfect. I had sent her pictures of the look I wanted and she made it look wayyyyyyy better then the reference. I highly recommend Miss Jazzy Braidz and Cuts if you want a dope style with an amazing staff! This defiantly my new salon!

Went to Jazzy Braidz salon last Saturday for crochet braids. This was my very first time getting this style so I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment to not only make sure I was on time but to have a chance to ask her questions about the style I was getting. When I arrived, I only waited for about 10 minutes before Jazzy herself sat me in her chair. I started asking her questions to make sure we were on the same page and immediately she approached me with a sour attitude and commented,“If I would’ve known you were gonna come in here with 50 million questions.” then sat down. As I continued on with my questions, her attitude stayed the same. I’m a visual person so I asked if she had any pictures/examples of the techniques she was referring to and she responds,“I don’t take pictures of my work anymore, I’ve been doing this for 20 years.” Ok? As a client, paying $ 150 for a service, I would think a stylist’s job is to provide reassurance. After the vibe I was getting I should’ve gone home but instead I stayed. Altogether it took about 5 hours to complete. I came in with 4 packs of hair instead of the 3 she suggested and it still wasn’t enough hair. Two packs were used for the front of my head and two for the back. I wanted to be able to put my hair up in a high ponytail, which I had explained to her when I first got there. But because there wasn’t enough hair, the«beehive» braid pattern was visible in the back of my head. Aside from my experience at the salon itself, I took the crochet braids out today(6 days later) because there was a lot of tension on my edges. Enough tension to where I was experiencing tension alopecia. The crochet braids themselves were not horrible but I don’t think the style is for me. I was not a fan of having visible braids in the front or the back. Overall I am extremely disappointed. Not only did I not appreciate the attitude I received at the salon, but I spent $ 195(including the hair) to get this style just to take it out 6 days later. Will I be going back? Absolutely not.

I am a huge fan of Jazzys salon and i have gotten my hair done by a few stylist and never have had a concern. They are all very professional, the place is clean and they listen to what i need as well as give me tips for my specific hair type. Glad i found them and plan to continue going back.

I found Jazzy Braids while frantically searching for a salon to replace my disaster of a weave with my every trusty crochet braids. I called Jazzy on Friday, hoping against hope that I could get an appointment within the weekend but not having much hope. She surprised me by getting me in the next morning! I was able to find the condo with no problems. There was plenty of uncovered parking. Jazzy was very personable, listened attentively to my concerns and expectations and successfully braided my hair within 2 hours. There was another stylist working on other clients while I was there. The atmosphere as upbeat and fun, with Jazzy and her clients keeping me entertained. I was very impressed with this affordable salon and look forward to returning for my next do.
