Lavern Nails & Spa

I have alway had good service at this shop. I have been coming here for years. There are new owners and they seem to be doing a good job. Some of the old employees are still there. They do a good job and are pleasant. They are often busy and sometimes ask you to wait.

I have going to Lavern Nails for years. Today I called to my appointment with Kim for a pedi and wax. My appointment was set for 3:45, I arrived promptly but she was running about 15 minutes behind. I was finally called back at 4pm. After my wax Kim started on my pedi. At 5pm another coworker came up to me to relay a message from the manager that next time I call in i n
eed to specify what kind of wax because he only put me down for an hour and Kim had another customer waiting. In utter shock I told her that I was also waiting 15 minutes and that as a manger he should have asked what kind of wax I was scheduling so he could have set his appointments accordingly. She then tried to explain that he is a man and cant be asking those types of questions. After the change of ownership Lavern Nails is not the same. The only reason I return is because of Kim.

I have been coming here for several years. Always get a great service from Kim.
Couple of the other techs not so much.

Not good! After literally working nonstop for 2 ½ months and wanting to treat myself to a much needed pedicure; found this place online with good reviews… WRONG! I was scolded upon greeting due to being 10 mins late. I had even called saying I was lost, but was told only upon arriving that I would have to wait an hour for my services; all the while there were two techs free and only one person in the place with another tech. Even after telling me I had to wait, she further let into me saying she had another client shortly and would only have a couple minutes for my pedi, if she could fit me in at all!
I am not a difficult costumer in the slightest; usually tip very generously and thank whoever assists me multiple times. I have also worked in the service industry 10+ years and this is the first time I have ever poorly reviewed a business online. I cannot afford to treat myself often nor have the time, so when I do and am faced with such crudeness… Well then you know its bad!
I am completely appalled by the customer service and honestly, the salon was dirty and with the limited selection of old and separating nail polishes… Well, maybe I should actually thank them for their rudeness… Might have been a blessing in disguise!
Will never go here again nor refer it to anyone, quite the opposite in fact!

I went somewhere else in the neighborhood to save a couple of $. I will be back to Linda & the ladies @ Laverne’s. OMG, what was I thinking? In 3 yrs I hv had 1 nail break due to my clumsiness & 1 slightly lift. They are the best I hv found around here. The girls r great & do an excellent job. One warning, listen, because everything adds to the bottom line. I went in to get a mani-​pedi & was charge $ 78 before it was all done. the pedi lasted all summer with a lot of compliments.
