Mesa Riverview

It has the basic stores there but needs more businesses and food places. Very nice upkeep though.

Time to update my review of Riverview. The city of Mesa finally finished the upgrades of the park across the street and it looks very nice. Riverview shopping district has a vast diversity of stores and eateries. The parking is laid out well and just feels more relaxed and less stressful than the Tempe Marketplace down the road. The shops here tend to be open earlier in the day, a very important plus in our extreme heat.
This visit was to join a group of friends at the Cinemark movie theater for a first run movie. This is by far my favorite movie theater in the valley. I waited in the common area in front of the theater for my friends and was wowed by how clean and comfortable this shopping district is.
For a Tuesday evening, there were a lot of families strolling, shopping, or just hanging out with friends. This is just a pleasant place to be.

I tend to be at Mesa Riverview a few times during the week, it’s a shopping center with plenty to choose from. From sporting to movies, from eating to getting your hair cut, there is something here for everyone.
My goto shops, Bed Bath & Beyond, T-​Mobile, Sally’s Beauty, Marshalls, Chick fil A (don’t judge) Taco Bell (son’s favorite place) IHop with the grandkids, Rubios, and more.
Mesa Riverview has it all! I like that I don’t have to go through an entire mall just to get the store I want, parking is always easy, I’m in an out before you know it!

Ugh. Not my kinda place. Just a bunch of chain stores and restaurants.

There are hardly any shops here, and I really don’t like cinemark that much because their popcorn tastes like it’s from Walmart. I only ever go here if I just need to pick something up real quick. Don’t go here expecting a fantastic shopping experience.

I will avoid Tempe Marketplace like the plague if I can find a comparable store/​restaurant/​movie time at this location. I love it. Easy parking, great layout, excellent variety of shops and services.

I’m actually quite impressed with how well the Mesa Riverview has held up. Not only are almost all of the stores still in business years later but they added a Carl’s Jr and built a nice hotel in the back.
It is still kept clean and is rarely crowded. Well done, Riverview. I know people would probably say Tempe Marketplace is better… but there is a reason they closed the Office Max in Tempe Marketplace and kept the Riverview location open…
Point: Riverview

This sleepy shopping center has some good places to go. The Cinemark here smells weird, but you can count on the fact that there won’t be any crowds.

This shopping center has a little bit of almost everything… functional shopping (clothes, food, home improvement), food, drinking, entertainment, etc. The only thing it doesn’t have that I think it should is a gas station. The closest gas station or convenience store is out on Alma School and 8^th. Not a HUGE inconvenience, but it could be misleading the first time you go.
