Love these concretes(just ask for it extra thick so its not too runny)! My fav is the double raspberry!

The burgers are preformed frozen patties, with not a lot of flavor. It’s a brioche bun that’s kind of hard. Fries tasted like they were frozen, definitely nothing special. To make a «meh» meal worse, I only drink iced tea and water(no soda or coffee). The iced tea tasted very old and nasty. I tried to get water from their soda machine but only a quarter of water cup dribbled out. On the up side, service was friendly and the fry sauce was good.

Went in at lunch time and it was completely empty. Everything was way overpriced and not a very good selection. We just got concretes, which only come in one size and are crazy expensive. It was okay, but not worth the cost at all, and there was way too much to finish, so a real waste. I won’t go back. They must use evaporation cooling, because it felt like a swamp inside. It was a hot day and we were expecting to sit in a cool place and have some good frozen custard. Instead it was hot, sticky and overall a really unpleasant experience.

The food and custard were great. The 2 roaches watching us were not. I have had sandwiches, fries, onion rings and tons of custard here. The atmosphere is very family friendly and there is sometimes live music. I will come back but I hope they hire an exterminator soon.

Used to be an amazing family establishment. But had gone down hill. Everything we ordered was already melting and milky when they came out. The concretes hardly had any mix ins where we had to ask for more. Their AC wasn’t even on and it was hotter inside than outside at 104 deg. When asked the cashier why it was so hot she said it was because of all the windows. Just overall horrible experience and will never go back!

This place has gone down hill. You should just go buy a cup of milk because their ice cream is melted when they serve it to you. I’ve been coming here for 20 plus years and will not ever come back!

Finer things grinder. Bumbleberry concrete w/almonds, or concrete w/banana, grahm cracker, and cheesecake.

We came here because they have a PayPal option and when we went to pay they said«We don’t take Paypal.» Well, if you don’t take paypal why Is it even an option? The whole reason we chose to go to this place is because we could use our Paypal account. The manager was not understanding or sympathetic about the problem at all. Bad management kinda killed the whole experience for my spouse and I.

Awful. It was completely overpriced and worst frozen custard I’ve ever had. I got a mint concrete with Oreo mix in. The Oreos were ground to a fine powder, if there hadn’t have been a few black flecks I wouldn’t have even known they were in there. It wasn’t minty at all, it was just thick sweet milk. I paid $ 6 for this?! NEVER coming back.

Although this place has some pretty solid frozen custard, I was completely unimpressed by the service. I was treated very rudely by a young man, who was a teenager. I get that he is young and immature, but the manger was right behind him and decided to do nothing. I was totally unimpressed by the service, and I am sure whoever the owners are would want to know about it. The same employee treated the next person in line the same way — with the manager, again, doing nothing. I have nothing to knock on the actual product, it was fantastic. But the service needs to be a focus in this place.

It was decent. Thought it was a bit over priced. And the building/furnishings seemed petty old and dated, as in breaking down. Food was ok. I was a bit disappointed, we have one of these in the town I just came from, but that one did«endless fries» when you ordered a concrete. This place, does not do that. Workers are nice… just kinda like a bunch of 15 year olds looking like deer in the headlights half the time.

I asked for a concrete, but got something more like soft serve. So disappointing.

Terrible service and the custard was very runny. We got a concrete with Reese’s peanut cup. You could hardly see any Reese’s peanut cup. Instead of fixing the concrete they gave us a tiny bowl of candy and told us to mix it ourselves. Oh and let’s not forget the concrete is in a cheap«red solo cup» from costco.

The custard was milky and there was hardly any mixing. It feels like they are looking to cut costs in so many ways and it has caused a bad experience. We paid $ 5.00 for a custard and it comes in a Costco cup with poor customer service. They even have a combo lock on the bathroom door. If you need to use it then they walk you to the bathroom and put in the code to open the door. The only places I see doing that are gas stations in the ghetto.

We visit from California to Arizona a couple times a year and this place is a MUST for my entire family. We have had the grinders on occasion but we come here for the CONCRETES. I have no idea why it is so good, it just is. The portion is huge but I have yet to see 1 person not finish it. We are all stuffed afterwards but happy. I’ve never had a problem with service but I can see getting irritated at the young workers and especially the young kids that hang out in the place not eating. Thats annoying

Solid spot. Definitely an East Valley favorite. Grab the oreo concrete, it’s delish.

Came across this place while running errands in Mesa. I had promised my daughter I would buy her ice cream after her shots. We walked in and ordered a banana split for her, I’m a weird person that doesn’t love ice cream and ice cream doesn’t love me back but I will still have a couple of spoonfuls. We ordered from a really nice young man and received our treat quite fast. Will go back to try a concrete soon.

This place has been here for several years and I popped in one time after a visit from my dentist. That first visit had me sold and it wasn’t long afterwards that I was talking about the place while visiting my dental office and telling them how good it is. Well to my surprise not one of the people that worked in the office had ever had a taste of Nielsen’s Frozen Custard. *gasp* Could this be true?! I mean how is it possible? This place is not even a quarter mile from their office. So I brought in several varieties prior to a follow up visit and the staff was thanking me profusely. REAL frozen custard. It is delicious, has flavor you can truly taste and real substance that doesn’t wimp out immediately when exposed to the AZ weather. I’ve had Freddy’s and Carver’s and although theirs is tasty there is something about the recipe that just falls short of Nielsens. And that Rita’s place, c’mon. The staff there uses a mix and couldn’t even tell you the difference between ice cream and frozen custard. And someone was telling me I need to try it, it’s good. When I indulge in something that is going to pad my hips and thighs I prefer authentically delicious, not false a representation.

This is no where near the same as the Gilbert location. I ordered a chicken sandwich, because they didn’t have the veggie one I get from the other location. It came on a fairly dry crusty hoagie roll, with shredded iceburg lettuce, mayo(that I specifically asked not for), chicken, and some horrible pepper sauce. The sauce was not listed in the ingredients on the menu. It was not just hot, but tasted bad. I asked the person at the counter about it, they said they put it on all their sandwiches. Something they might want to mention on the menu. It was pretty loud, and smelled greasy. The menu is not the same as the Gilbert location either. I was fairly disgusted by my food, so we didn’t even bother with the custard.
