Great park! Wish there weren’t wood chips in the play are but other than that it’s beautiful. They do need to get their lighting fixtures repaired tho for safety reasons though! Beautiful!

I nice little park that seems under rated. It’s never too busy, everything is in nice repair. There’s wood chips instead of sand and local plants(even a garden). Overall peaceful for me and a hit with my kids.

Great park with armadas, nice newer playground, Eagle Scout compass orienteering course, bathrooms, and a lovely free cactus garden. Some vandalism has led to missing cactus and non-working cactus dramatic lighting. But still a great FREE experience. A nice winter spot to visit with out-of-towners.

This is my favorite place to have my lunch. The playground for kids has been redone and benches and tables are in good order. It has a nice loop trail that is a quarter of a mile. The cactus garden has several dozen types of cacti. the main draw is the dry canals that were dug by Native Americans in like 300BC. Also on the entrance there is a cactus with 8 limbs which I am told means it’s 80 years old. There are geocaches and Munzee located in the park too.

Park of the Canals started as nothing more than a roped-off area where the ruins of ancient Hohokam Indian canals had been discovered. Today it is a 30-acre park and desert botanical garden, including vegetation from four distinct desert regions. There is a large children’s playground and many picnic tables and ramadas. The park is still reletively undiscovered, so nearly any time you can have the place to yourself. BTW, everything is free.
