Picture Show @ Superstition Springs Mall

Dude this place is chill. $ 1 on Tuesdays and $ 2 any other day. Also if you bring in your Harkins loyalty cup they will refill it for a $ 1.50 just like Harkins. I admit the armrests don’t move but it’s a great place to see movies when you’re on a budget like me.

Love this movie theater!!! Love the price to get in. The food is a bit expensive and the chairs aren’t the best but hey you get what you pay for!!!

Visit here tonight and was completely shocked. The staff was pretty friendly the price was right and the bathrooms were overall clean. Now the seats weren’t the best and the screens in #6 needed to be cleaned. All in all we’ll be back. I spent under $ 15 bucks here. That was movie for 2, popcorn, candy and a drink.

Can’t beat $ 1 movies on Tuesday! The seats are a little downward sloped, so you’ll notice everyone slowly sliding out of their chairs as the movie goes on. Haha. I love this place though, makes for some cheap entertainment!

I absolutely love this place! I go as much as possible. When you walk in, you pay for your tickets at the concession stand. Movies are only $ 2!!! And on Tuesdays they’re only $ 1!!! You can’t beat that! The concessions are relatively cheap as well compared to regular movie theaters. You can get a large tub of popcorn and a large soda for under $ 10 which isn’t bad in comparison. They show movies that aren’t in regular theaters anymore and the seating isn’t as comfortable as most theaters, but it isn’t a big deal considering how cheap the tickets are. The only complaints I have are that I wish that they had a higher turnover rate of movies. Sometimes they show the same movies for two weeks in a row without adding new ones. And when they do add new ones, it’s usually just one or two at a time. Also, the theater is usually pretty messy. It’s understandable because they usually only have a few staff members working that need to be up front and can’t do everything at once. Even so, this is still one of my favorite places to go.

Don’t expect harkins for $ 2, that’s a no brainer! My kids really enjoy it and I have even gone on my own to catch a movie. I’m have 4 little ones and we can all catch a movie with popcorn, hotdog and drinks for under $ 40! I’ll take it!

If you’re a «movie theatre snob» then I’m sure there’s lots to pick apart. However, as a single father of 3 who doesn’t like a trip to the movies to cost $ 100, this place is great.
Tuesday is $ 1 ticket night. Every other day is $ 2. Bathroom was a little gross and the seats weren’t super comfortable… but it’s family movie night for less than $ 25 (tickets, popcorn, candy and drinks)…so shut up lol

You get what you pay for. Twice now, the teenagers have forgotten to start the movie, requiring someone to notify the management. Seats are tired, theater is stained, & the screen has a permanent (apparently) smuge; BUT only $ 2 a ticket. Good enough to take your young kids to, but little else.

The place was clean, the staff was nice, and the price is great. For two of us, it was $ 20 even for admission, two drinks, popcorn, and a pretzel with cheese. You can’t beat it! I don’t expect a fancy experience for that price, the seating wasn’t uncomfortable but wasn’t as comfortable as regular theaters. They don’t have butter for the popcorn, just seasonings that you add yourself. I’d be willing to pay a bit more for that. It wasn’t crowded either, which is nice. Neither of us enjoyed the movie we saw but at least we were only out $ 20. Far less disappointing than I am when I pay to see bad movies at Harkins or AMC.

My wife and I go here every week to watch 2 dollar movies. I thought it was too good to be true when we first moved here. Like you had to sign up for something, or they only played crap. Well, it’s real. And it’s my favorite place. We’re going there tonight to watch American Sniper. Yeah the movies are 6 months old, but I’m living in the past anyways. They add new movies every Friday.

Cheap cheap cheap. Whenever I need a movie at a theatre, I just go here for $ 1 Tuesdays, but don’t worry it’s only $ 2 all the other days :-) little dingy but overall you get what you pay for and I don’t mind a little run down.

This place is great if you are flexible and just need to get out of the house. Sometimes it’s clean. Sometimes it’s a mess. Sometimes u can see a decent movie. Sometimes your stuck watching a dud because the good ones are sold out. It’s really hit or miss with this place. The good thing is you can go shopping or hit up HH at Cheesecake Factory if the movie thing doesn’t work out. It’s all about flexibility ! Enjoy your Show ;)

$ 2 movies! Not only that but there wasn’t the typical cheap theater smell or general feel of dirty grubbiness. The wait for tickets is tad long because that’s where they serve concessions too. Concessions are typical theater prices and options. Worth the wait for a date night for $ 4!

This establishment is basically one of those «you get what you pay for» experiences.
When I walked in there were a lot of employees having their lunch openly in front of the customers and all were goofing off. This was my first impression. The young lady that handled my order on the other hand was professional and not participating in the foolish behavior of her peers.
There was popcorn across the floor here and there. They place didn’t seem like it was cared for.
The display of the movie was fine. Just like any other experience I have had where I paid a lot more for the showing.
I am giving this establishment two (2) stars because it didn’t fit in with the posh environment of the Superstition Springs Mall, due to the lack of seriousness from the staff that were publicly having their lunch and the lack of upkeep that should have been in place. You get the impression that the place is run by teenagers without any management. I didn’t see anyone there that resembled mangement.

Cool place to see movies you didn’t get to watch at the regular theatre. Super cheap prices and the place is relatively clean for what you are getting. The only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 is just because it can sometimes be hot in the movie theatre.

But i enjoyed our date night here! Not as fancy as other theaters but it was fairly clean and there was a lot of people there which made it seem presentable. Tickets are $ 2 and $ 1 on Tuesdays, would definitely be back here with my kids for a family film we never got to see or just for fun! Kinda hard to find but it’s in between tj maxx and the Cheesecake Factory! :)

This theatre is one of the first places my family and I went to when we moved to the Phoenix area 15 years ago. Toy Story was the first movie I watched there and of course I loved it. In high school I remember seeing The Ring with all of my friends for my birthday here as well. Within the last month my husband and I went to Fuddruckers and then decided to see the movie Red here. Keep in mind it had been years since I had last visited but almost everything looked the same. It was $ 2 a ticket and we didn’t order any snacks. When you walk in the front doors the ticket machine is located on the left near the arcade games. The screen was smaller than regular theatres and the seats were very uncomfortable. You get what you pay for.

This place is a hidden gem! (Seriously — it’s hidden.)
For a discount theater, this place is great! Yeah, if you compare it to Harkins you will be disappointed, but for what it is, it’s nice!
Every time I’ve been it’s super clean and cozy. The seats are comfortable, but it can get kind of cold in there.
Concession price is a little less than the regular theater but not much. Pay $ 2 for your movie and $ 10 on popcorn and a drink.
It’s a great place to go see that movie you kind of wanted to see but didn’t want to pay $ 8 for.

$ 2 movies! Sign me up!
My Giant and I went there two days in a row to beat the heat and get out.
One downfall: You have to go inside to the general consession stand to buy a ticket. Doesn’t sound bad, but the two times we went the lines were out the door and had one to two people working the register.
Beat the heat and go to Picture Show! Great deal and good experience!

$ 2 to see Toy Story 3, +$ 2 more to see it in 3-​D, x 2 people + $ 4 large popcorn=$ 12 total for both of us to see a 3-​D movie with popcorn! Am I happy? Yes.
