Courteous phone reps; friendly and prompt consultation rep and a good variety of material options however overpriced in my opinion. The work I had quoted was for a tile shower — nothing fancy — not even a high tech shower head. They say they are affiliated with Home Depot and that the only company Home Depot would recommend to do the work is them. But… in the next breath the rep told me they use all high end materials that can’t be found at Home Depot. Well if you aren’t using Home Depot materials why would they recommend you and why would you want me to sign up for a Home Depot credit card to pay for materials? You’re telling me that if i go shopping for materials at Home Depot they are going to say«WAIT! Go to this company and let them use materials we don’t sell.» First red flag. Second red flag… telling me I could go ahead and pay 50% of the charge on the spot and then think about it for 3 days before canceling. Apparently this would get me a $ 250 or $ 500 discount so that a rep wouldn’t have to come back out later to do the paperwork. Well my friends… it’s 2016 and it’s a paperless world. I know they have heard of the Internet because they have a website. One that reflects an affiliation with Home Depot which I’m still confused about. So rather than convince an uneasy customer on paying you now and hoping for a refund if they change their mind in 3 days… how about you honor this so called discount without payment and let the customer call you back in 3 days if they are comfortable moving forward? Don’t tell me it’s going to cost you $ 250-$ 500 to come out to do some paperwork that can be handled electronically for basically free. Talk about car salesman pressure. In fact, I didn’t have to sign one thing before I took my car home for the night to sleep on it! Third red flag: telling me that part of the reason the cost to do a tile shower was so expensive is because the installer would have to go up and down my stairs to cut every single piece of tile. Wrong. I’m quite the DIY’er and I know that you don’t have to cut every single piece of tile. That’s ridiculous. Most important red flag: This company quoted me over $ 12K with a frameless glass door and over $ 10K to settle on a sliding glass door with a metal frame. I heard the pitch of why their company is better than the rest and I do agree with a lot of the points made in the sales presentation however I don’t agree that the price should be that high for something relatively basic. In my business I understand«you get what you pay for» but I also understand the value of a dollar. The basic shower I asked for is not a $ 12K shower. It’s not even a $ 10K shower. Perhaps they are trying to recover expenses for $ 250 tanks of gas that don’t exist or the rep’s ultra slim Samsung laptop or the iPad he also brought with him. Hmm. So they HAVE heard of computers. It’s a no go. I thought long and hard before posting a negative review but guts don’t lie. I have a lot of tattoos but I’m pretty sure none of them say SUCKER.
