See’s Candy Shops

Friendly and helpful service. The hours can be quite unfavorable, especially during the holidays and the summer. But overall I am happy with this location.
Update: according to Unilocal,this shop is closed down. This is not true, it is very much open.

I do believe this store is closed. Nobody answered the phone there on a busy Saturday afternoon. I won’t waste my precious time going to look.

Unilocal says it opens at 9am. Google says it opens at 10am. So I went at 10 am. Waited until 10:10am and the store was still closed. Wasted my time there.

A pound of chocolate here goes for $ 22.40 now, compared to a pound of Russell Stover’s chocolates for just $ 9.99 at Target’s this week. So why am I standing in line at See’s Candies? This stuff just tastes better. It tastes fresh, not like it has been sitting on a shelf forever. It tastes richer, like they didn’t skimp on the ingredients.
I got the silver box today, a half pound of mixed chocolates for $ 9.95. It is about all my husband and I can share these days. There were 4 employees staffing the store and the checkout line moved quickly. OH – don’t forget they will give a free sample, either from behind the counter as you select pieces for a custom box or at the check out counter if you select a prepared box instead of a custom box.
The only down side to this store – as mentioned by the prior reviewer, they are closed for the summer. When I asked an employee, she said they only count on being open from mid-​October until just after Easter – there are just not enough customers in the summer. Hmmmmm, let me ponder that notion, oh yeh, chocolate melts pretty fast on a 116 degree day. Duh!

I really like the service at this location, it’s much better than the Chandler mall location. No matter how busy this place gets you are ALWAYS greeted with a smile and a free sample. The staff is very knowledgeable about the product and the candy itself is consistently superb as expected. When I want See’s Candy this is where I go!
