What a sweet and beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. There were so many varieties of roses. Perfect for a picnic or a place to take photographs. I plan to look into volunteering as I understand they need dead headers to care for the roses.

I went to MCC for a few years. That was before the Rose Garden got started. Although I seem to remember them starting on it just before I finished up my classes at the school.
Frankly, it is gorgeous and you should take a tour. There are thousands of roses. There are also awesome test gardens and knowledgeable staff members to answer questions. I was amazed and inspired and plan to bike down there from Tempe as often as possible.
If you are attending MCC, take a look at the beautiful garden that borders Southern Ave while you are on your way to get food! Apparently it is soon to stretch down Longmore as well, so nice to see beautiful gardens take the place of ugly sidewalks with whatever manages to hang on to life sitting on the side.
If you have time, volunteer to help them out. It is a lot of work!
