I’m so surprised by some of these reviews. I didn’t have those experiences ATALL. TransCity was the most professional management service I have ever worked with. They were quick to answer my calls and to return them(I don’t even remember ever not being able to get in touch with them, actually) and Barb is the kindest person I believe I’ve ever worked with. The house I rented was extraordinarily beautiful, it was well maintained and like an oasis. I could pay my rent online, which was so helpful and easy. I’m definitely going straight back to them if I ever rent in Arizona again. It was absolutely, by far, the best experience I’ve ever had renting a house. Highly recommend using them!

I was referred to TransCity through a friend who uses them. I thought having this reference was beneficial since it came recommended and could have faith that the company was reputable. In the beginning, I will admit that I was satisfied. HOWEVER, I ran into a situation where they replaced the fridge with a used one without consulting me(asking me if I wanted a new one or old one). Per the contract, they are to consult with the homeowner for any expenses greater than $ 200. When I brought this to their attention they recognized their error and agreed to replace the used one with a new one. Per my conversation with the TransCity representative, he indicated that the company would cover the difference as a result of their mistake. They did not take any expenses out of my account at that time. I was satisfied that they not only acknowledged their mistake but wanted to make it right. I then closed my account due to selling the property and I collected my keys from them. I assumed all as good and I was done with them. Unfortunately, they come back to me months later indicating that I have an outstanding balance for the fridge. Seriously? Apparently, whatever miscommunication they had internally about covering for their mistake was passed along to me incorrectly. If they never intended to cover the difference for the fridge then they should have and could have debited my account at that time. Even at the time of closing out my account and collecting my keys, it should have been identified if there were any expenses outstanding. They made me believe all was in good standing. Now, months later they come back to me asking for the difference instead of writing it off due to their own internal mistake and poor business practices. They had every opportunity to collect the funds if they never intended to cover the entire difference for the fridge. It is apparently that they do not value customer satisfaction/service because any other company I know would recognize that it isn’t worth collecting on something that was their own mistake to begin with. This last experience with them left a sour taste in my mouth and reflects negatively on the quality of their service if you ask me.

Recently worked with Charlie on renting a home, me and my wife are impressed with the white glove service he provided. They were able to meet us at the property we wanted to see on a moments notice. It’s hard during the week for us to see homes after working hours, so we were impressed by the impromptu showing, the night we inquired. Follow up is very quick and they seem to work hard for both renters and homeowners. We really like the service and the quality of the home we looked at. Looking forward to renting a property managed by true professionals.

I looked at a property that they are managing. After seeing the property I had a few areas of concern like the roaches I saw throughout the house and the back sliding glass door not locking. I wanted to know if the house would be exterminated/bombed to get rid of the roaches and if the sliding door would be fixed. I received no response from Barb to my email of concerns. This was just 2 of the items on my list. The carpets were not clean, the hall door closest was off the hinges, the tile floors were cracked/damaged in most of the rooms, the ceilings have cracks, the dish washer is falling apart. If I can’t get a response to 2 areas of concern how would I get answers to others. I saw another property that I wanted to view that Barb is also listed as the contact. I asked if I could view that one. Her response was that property isn’t available to view for a few weeks even though the listing says available to view after 4⁄1 and today is 4⁄8. I’m still waiting on a response to that text I sent. Is it that I asked to have 2 items taken care of in a house I would have liked to rent? Is she not wanting to deal with me? I’m beginning to see why the house I looked at is still on the market after 22 days. I’m not sure how the owner of the property would feel if they are aware of how easy to fix issues are being handled.

Transcity Property Managment is «OK» — they DO return calls, and are on top of paperworks, etc. It’s a well run company in that sense. That said, they don’t do much more. Maybe I’m expecting too much for my 8%(or about $ 1000 a year for a condo they managed). They certainly don’t do any sort of annual inspection of a property. They get the job done, but if you expect them to be concerned for your property like it was their own, maximizing rent, doing an annual inspection, getting it rented in a few days(vs a month, or more) … you probably need to avoid a management company, and just do it yourself.
