Spectacularly bad service. After years of enduring unhelpful staff, inconvenient hours and access rules, we finally decided to close out our storage room. To our surprise, UHaul had put an extra lock on my unit! No reason given (I was current on payments). They didn’t bother to notify me they had added a lock. Then (given their track record, no surprise) they couldn’t find the key! After waiting almost an hour, at my insistence, one of the staff finally came over to try to drill the lock off. Eventually, we got in and cleared out the unit.
The whole time we were made to feel we were the ones inconveniencing them, not the other way around. Did they ever even apologize for the center’s mistake? No.
The situation was bad enough. But dealing with sullen and rude employees made us furious. The manager here has some big customer service training challenges!
