Had to go in for urgent care and Dr kakkar was working, my pcp is dr cynar. I just got my stitches out and my wound reopened. Dr kakkar refused to see me cause she couldn’t charge for fixing an opened stitch wound.

This center is very busy but very efficient. All doctors that I have dealt with are kind and courteous. Recommend these doctors for family health.

I saw Dr. Ana Nguyen as a new patient on Wednesday. The office is very warm and inviting. The front desk staff and the nurse that took my initial intake were all very nice and friendly. Even the initial part of my visit with Dr. Nguyen seemed very nice. Then I asked her to refill my prescriptions, which I had from my previous dr out of state. I had the prescription bottles showing the prescription. I also asked for some kind of medication for pain. When we discussed the pain meds(non-narcotic) and their likelihood to make my stomach upset. I decided against it. Then, in order for her to fill my regular medications, she told me I had to take a tetanus shot, since she had not been able to convince me to take the flu shot.(I took the flu shot for several years recently and ended up with me in the hospital.) Because I needed my regular meds, I was convinced I had to take the tetanus shot. I told her I usually got very sick from shots and my body was very sensitive. Besides, I work in education, pushing paper and assessing special needs kids, not in a junkyard. She assured me that I would not get sick with this shot… Two hours later and for almost three days, I ran a fever, had chills, got nauseous, and was in tremendous pain. The site of the shot was HOT and HARD, like I had marbles under my skin. My back, hips and neck hurt, despite large doses of Ibuprofen every four hours. It is now Monday and I still feel the site of the injection very hot and hard. I ended up taking Arnica Montana to bring the swelling down and that is helping me be more comfortable. Friday I had called the nurse about a medication glitch and mentioned to her how I was feeling. I wanted to know how long it would take to go away… I was miserable and refused to miss work! She told me that it sounded like an allergic reaction and that the Dr. might want me to go to the ER. She told me she would talk to the dr. and get back with me. That was Angela and she was so great and took me seriously. 90 minutes later, I get a call back from another nurse that all but called me a pill seeker. She explained that she won’t bother the doctor once she has gone home, unless it is a life and death situation. I totally understand! When I made the call earlier, the doctor was still in the office. I didn’t wait till 5pm on Friday. I started trying to remedy the medicine situation in the morning! My pain level was mentioned in regard to the shot, but the glitch had nothing to do with pain meds. Anyways, I won’t go back. I am an educated woman who has a bad habit of being honest with her doctor about how and what I’m feeling. It really backfired. I realize that there are a lot of pill seekers out there and doctors need to be careful. But, please don’t assume I am just because I mention I am in pain. And, trust me to know my body. I am almost 40 years old. I know what makes me sick consistently.
