I started out pretty bummed as my dishwasher was faulty for a good 3 – 4 days. My dishes were starting to reach the ceiling in a stack that high. I did a lot of research on my appliance and even thought about taking it apart myself. I gave up during a bad time though because when the weekend comes, apparently all appliance part stores are closed and repairmen take a day or two off. Even Maytag takes the weekend off.whatdayaknow. Anyway, I called about 100 places, near and far, and I got a couple hits(meaning people actually answering the phone). I somehow ended up talking to Clay from C&J Appliance Repair and am I ever so glad I did. He couldn’t make it the same day as it was nearing the end of a workday for him but to my surprise he offered to come over the next day(Sunday). I absolutely did not object and was extremely excited that he was available. Sunday comes and I called just to make sure he would make it as he had mentioned weather might delay his visit a day or so. Well, weather was pretty bad but he was kind enough to make time, he came over and in less than 1 hour, my machine was working! Simple project as it(thankfully) was just the housing unit on the floater but this guy took the time to de-clutter underneath the main housing unit for junk I didn’t necessarily stick around to see. He also offered some tips on how to clean the dishwasher. An overall polite, honest guy who only charged for $ 50 for the service call. It was extremely worth it and I know I was lucky. There are tons of dishonest guys out there looking for a quick buck with no sense of integrity. Not this guy, he mentioned I may eventually have to repair the floater but he knew my deal was an emergency and he has no idea how happy I was to be able to run 3 loads of dishes after he left! Crummy weather and weekends are no roadblock for this guy. He will get the job done. I’m sure I will call again if another problem shall arise. Thanks guy!
