I know. This review is a little odd, but bear with me. I’ll explain why you need to know about Gentry. I worked for an A/C company many years ago and Gentry Supply was our main supplier for A/C and heater parts. I can’t even count the number of times I ran to Gentry to pick up this or that and then delivered it to the guys at a job site. The employees at Gentry aren’t going to offer you a mimosa while you wait, but they aren’t nearly as rude as some of the Grainger and Trane guys could be. Yes, I’m a girl. Yes, I’m picking up A/C parts. No, I don’t know how to install them but I do know that you’re being an ass. I no longer work for that A/C company, but having Gentry in my address book is still a good thing. Here’s the reason you need to know about Gentry. Not too long ago, I needed to replace the 2 intake vent covers in my hallway. My husband prefers Grainger(silly man) so we paid Grainger a visit on a Saturday morning. Grainger wanted $ 82. Each. That’s right, $ 164 for 2 puny metal vent grills. Ah. No. So, we went to Gentry(they close at noon on Saturday). Good old Gentry. We not only didn’t have to order them(sit and spin, Grainger) they were only $ 12. For both. I know you probably won’t use Gentry much, if at all. But the next time your heater goes out and your repair guy wants to charge you $ 150 for a thermocouple(which is usually less than $ 20) give Gentry a call. The repair guy may not appreciate it, but your wallet certainly will.
