DAS Vehicle Carrier

Horrible customer service, they did not deliver on time, in fact it is now Monday they said at the latest it would be here last Friday and I still do not have my truck! I will never transport a vehicle again, next time I will drive it or tow it myself. Don’t use them to transport your car.

One star only because I can’t give negative stars. Long story short, my car arrived over a month late (they forgot to ship it) and caused over $ 800 in damage which they claimed I did. Whatever you do, do not use DAS for any reason. Worst experience I have ever experienced with a company in my entire life. Customer service was lazy, disrespecting and completely worthless. I wish I would’ve driven the car myself.

UPDATE*****Our car arrived 9/​18, after being pickedup on 8/​25, so one week short of a month and a full week after the gave us a «worse case» ETA, ⁹⁄₁₁.
Additionally, the car had «grease pencil» writing all over the windshield, like cars coming off an auction lot, with code #s etc.
The car was undamaged and in working condition though.

If it were possible to give negative stars, I would. We have relocated from CT to TX and our experience with DAS has been horrible. One lie after another. My car was slated to ship via Corporate Shipping — which means that if you are on a corp contract they are supposed to actually deliver in the timeframe stated. If it’s retail, which is most people, best of luck. It gets there when it gets there. Twenty-​nine days these dummies had my car. It sat in a lot in Linden, NJ for over three weeks. Lie after lie from the «customer contact» — a dedicated person — until she just fully stopped returning voicemails. Track status of your car online? Good luck with that. Both of our cars were never listed as anything online beyond UNKNOWN.
We are still waiting for our second car to arrive. Mine did arrive, 11 days after the end of the alleged window for delivery. The car was not damaged. That’s the only thing I can say.
DAS is NOT a national auto shipper. It’s a warehouse with a few call center reps and no actual employed carriers. Truly the poorest customer service. Look at the turnover in upper management. Look at the BBB website — they aren’t accredited because of the large number of complaints lodged against them. Add one more to that pile because it’s my next stop after posting this review. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
UPDATE: They are still not responding to voice mails and will not answer the phone. No idea where my car is. None at all. These people are appalling thieves.

The only reason I’m giving one star is because I cannot give negative stars. For two days now, this company cannot tell me where my 1967 Corvette Stingray is. They cannot get in touch with the driver, and the GPS is «broken» (disconnected if you ask me). I am very close to reporting my car STOLEN.
DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. They tried telling me that the truck driver RAN OUT OF GAS! Never believing that a «professional’ driver could allow himself to run out of gas, I’m convinced that they were making this up to try and appease me. I didn’t buy it, especially after calling numerous times and being told that they could not get in touch with the driver. They are scammers and liars and will tell you anything to get you off the phone, even promising to call back with any updates. It’s now 19:00 Pacific Time and low and behold, the offices are closed, so I cannot get an update until THURSDAY!!!
I CANNOT REPEAT THIS ENOUGH: do not use these guys. Find someone else with a reputable background and ratings on here.

Had my SUV shipped from Virginia to San Francisco and I must say that DAS did call me on time, however, i did not know they were shipping my car as I hired a company out of NJ called AAA Automovers and they are horrible.
Finally, DAS did pick up my car on the 29^th of March and arrived on April 4, 2011. While it took a month for me to get my car from Virginia, DAS did agree to take $ 100 off my total price. I would agree to use DAS and no other company!

Awesome. Sent my beloved custom Ford Expedition from Palm Desert to New York and it was all good from the moment they sent it. Proper paperwork, detailed description and condition of the car. Emails, tracking were all in order and receiver was very pleased with the result. I highly recommend this service if you need to move or transport a vehicle.
