Dollar General Store # 3163

It’s sad that a previous poster had an issue with this store, and I hope things have been resolved to the best outcome possible. I have always been treated very well here, and I really like this location. However, they are no longer open «24 hours» and I believe that they now close at 10pm. It is conveniently located in a neighborhood, so very easy to get in and out of — easy parking as I have found all of the stores to have. They always have a huge inventory and best selection of the newer items I want or on my «wish list». I will drive out of my way to shop at this location, and I am never disappointed upon returning. I absolutely love, love their merchandise and feel it is of top quality and value. Those weekly coupons of $ 5 off $ 25 (or $ 30) total purchase really come in handy and are much appreciated. This location will even ask if you need a discount coupon if your total meets the criteria for that weekend (or possible Friday every now and then!). Other locations do not do this (as I’ve experienced), so you know how much they value your business at this location, and it is always bustling with customers. I used to be a huge Family Dollar shopper, but I am now a Dollar General convert, and this is where my market share has been for over 5 years now. I try to buy the things I need and want every weekend. I really am getting more value for my money spent, than I was at Family Dollar. You just cannot beat the prices, as a previous poster stated. I seldom ever shop Wal-​Mart any longer, since I have found just about everything I need here. For more groceries they may not have, I visit Kroger, Albertson’s and occasionally Target (although often pricey at times, Target offers their own branded food items, which I have found to be of excellent quality and value, especially when compared to like name brands). Anyway, try this Dollar General location if you not yet have, and I think you will be most happy. It is very well-​stocked and organized, IMHO.

UPDATE for review posted 07/​24/​2013 After posting this review I was contacted by district manager who arranged for the offending asst. mgr. Stacy to apologize to me in the store. I feel this matter is resolved, but took too long.

It’s clean, it’s organized, the employees are friendly and it’s cheap! Many of heir store brands are good quality. Also, this location is open 24 hours. We’ve been coming here almost every day since moving into the neighborhood.
