This place is filthy. The plastic ware has trash in and around the counter. The tables were dirty as well as the floors. Use caution when using the restrooms. This place used to be better but it must have new management. I contacted the home office about the condition but they never responded. The store in Balch Springs is much better.

There was a number of problems with this taco cabana visit. First off we waited in the drive-through and he rushed to take my order so I couldn’t decide what I wanted. Then after I finally did order he told me to pull around to the front because he had to make fresh tortillas and flautas. Well I decided to go inside and get my salsa since I knew the guy working the drive-through wasn’t going to be competent enough to give me the sauces that I asked for or enough of them. After waiting 10 minutes I finally received my food and they only gave me five flour tortillas when I ordered a dozen. How does five tortillas even come out of a dozen. I literally had to wait 10 minutes for fresh tortillas when I ordered a dozen and they give me five. How hard is it to take a fast food order these days. Is there any training involved. Can you count. I’ll tell you the problem, there was not one Mexican working in the restaurant. And I’m not Mexican. I’m not racist, I judge everyone equally. This taco cabana is the worst taco cabana I have ever been to.

We stopped at this place on our way to Tyler Texas. We are all for authentic Mexican food, and we are very picky about it. We did like this place and though it is not technically Mexican we thought it was good. We had tacos and they were good.

Wish I could give a minus stars review. Overall, I MUST say that Taco Cabana has REALLY, REALLY, REALLY gone downhill! And I’m not just saying THIS particular location, but for the past 2 visits here(and the nearby Garland AND Dallas locations I visited) were TERRIBLE! On this visit, Cashier acted like he could give a you-know-what that customers(and there were quite a few for a Monday night) in the dining room were sitting out there, waiting and waiting FOREVER for meal orders! I saw from a distance, what I thought was my nachos just sitting up there, but I could not tell if it was mine or someone else’s order. Neither the kitchen staff nor the cashier brought it to me! I noticed a young woman who had been sitting there for quite awhile, and I asked her how long she had been waiting for her to-go order, as she was already there when I sat down. She looked at her receipt, and it was over 20 minutes! We both decided to approach the cashier, and he was quite rude in regards to the delay. He didn’t offer to have the kitchen staff make me a fresh order of nachos. Not only were they cold, but barely any toppings of bean and cheese on them! Also, he grudgingly accepted my $ 1.00 off«survey coupon» and when he did, he tore up my receipt and crumbled it in a wad, as if he had received a failing grade on an exam in school! The weekend manager did the same thing, on my prior visit — he failed to even give me my receipt, and then when I asked for it, I noticed he had torn off my future survey. I have NEVER given a poor review, only until now, because I have been noticing such poor service, quality(they are also back to «watering down» the salsas once again!), and child’s size portions of food. Just terrible, what can I say?! I guess all the good managers and employees left, or either some kind of higher up management directives.?? The funny thing is; I am NOT a secret shopper. I guess they think I am, because I am so observant of details wherever I do retail business, and a regular in the stores. I am a very friendly person and would always compliment Taco Cabana and staff of everything being so good in the past. Food, quality and service were once consistently good. Well, not anymore for sure. It’s such a shame too. I guess Taco Bueno is getting more of the market share nowadays, so TC you better watch out! I’m getting my money’s worth there at least, although I was never as fond of their offerings and salsas, I’m now learning to, and trading there more. Taco Cabana should definitely be concerned. Customers are usually forgiving; but after multiple times of overall POOR. everything there, we’ll all just go elsewhere. And. McDonald’s across the street may not have Mexican cuisine but, at least you insist on what you want for freshness, order, etc., and they will accommodate. Shape up or else, Taco Cabana!(P.S. I’m calling Corporate tomorrow and making sure they hear me. y’all don’t even wanna know what happened at the Garland location last week — but.okay.they ran out of taco meat — it was not even 9pm — and substituted shredded chicken instead, then served only tiny portions of beans and rice, NO guacamole — NO sweet tea, NOR did they come out and refill it — no telling how long the canister was empty, watered down salsas, cashier tore off bottom part to do the ‘next’ survey and quickly put it in the trash! Oh, and they ran out of their own styrofoam black plates, and must have gone to WalMart and bought the cheapest paper plates they could find to serve customers on! Wow, how could a business be so ill-prepared of dining supplies and offerings?! So yes, I guess they are all getting bad and poor reviews and are a little concerned about either their jobs or the place closing down, or BOTH, and management teams are possibly telling them to do this, of not giving a customer a receipt with a new survey to take. Losing money? I wouldn’t be surprised when everything has gone by the wayside nowadays, and they don’t want to accept a survey coupon. Beware, and always ask for your receipt with the survey code printed on the bottom if you continue to patronize this establishment. As I say, I’m calling the corporate office tomorrow to voice my opinion. Perhaps they can correct these deficiencies before the company has to close its’ doors for good. What a shame!(Maybe some new and similar, but better chain will come to us soon.).

This place has really gone down on my fast food go to list. My husband and I have been a lot because they always took care of everything. The past three times we have gone it’s been terrible. You wait forever for one. Then they give you a teaspoon of rice with a teaspoon of beans and two big handfuls of lettuce. If I wanted salad I would have gone to sweet tomatoes. They never get our order right EVER. they always forget to give us the tortillas or anything extra that we ordered.

Waited in line at the drive thru for 10 minutes an no one took our order. We decided to leave and stopped at the window to talk to the manager. She said she was«training» the new cashier on how to do something. There where three people all trying to figure it out. She didn’t care that we waiting and didn’t care that we left. Go to McDonalds across the street — at least the take your order.

Drive … had to back out it was soooo slowww. Never again drive thru. Inside was a better experience. Had a fajita bowl and could load it up at the salsa bar. Much better value that way. Go inside if you can… it is faster than the drive thru… go figure

Been twice — once inside and once drive-thru. Will be back. Great food, good sized portions and a reasonable price. Only reason not to go to 5 stars is that when we ate inside, it could have been cleaner. Staff was super friendly. Margarita was tasty. Food delivered quickly. Salsa bar was well-stocked when we were there and place was pretty crowded. Tacos were really good.

Very much understaffed for handling the lunch rush. Awful dirty restrooms and condiments areas. Crowds here like to drink at lunch as well which would be interesting if the restaurant had their drinks iced in time or margarita machine ready. Staff is not prepared.

This is the second time I’ve gone to Taco Cabana. It used to be great. Now it’s not even as good a Taco Bell. $ 9+ for a cold enchilada plate and small drink. Wrong enchilada, no guacamole, lots of lettuce, and undercooked enchilada tortillas. Hungry, but threw 75% away. Brans and rice were good. The rest was horrible. Second time was once too many.

Let’s start with, I am a huge fan of Taco Cabana — However… I walked into this one after flying into Dallas and it is the most disgusting, dirty one I’ve ever been too(and I’ve been here before, it wasn’t like this). A number of guys working wearing shades(in a building at night) completely oblivious to cleaning, noticing customers waiting at the register to place an order and then they just leave my order just sitting up there until we had to go get it. Seriously bad —

Well heres another mediocre TC. Its a shame they have great food at this chain compared to the other«taco’s» in the area(bell, bueno, casa, etc). Service is poor at best, cleanliness is mediocre. At 1:30 on a sunday theyre about 40% occupied but youd think they had two employees and 300 patrons. Condiment bar was mostly empty and asking manager twice in 20 min to refill it only got the standard«were getting some now» reply. It took 15 min to get my food and all i ordered was a taco plate, 2/3’s which should have been premade already and just slapped on a plate. Condiment bar was finally refilled as i was almost done. And staff acts like its an inconvenience to be here today. I love the food but the rest of TC is a hit or miss experience, mostly miss.

Start by saying I have been to tons of Taco Cabana locations. This location is not good when it comes to both service. Only been thru drive thru. Both times I have gone thru it I have had to wait 15 to 20 to get thru. I’m ok to wait if the food is fresh and good. Both times the food has been Luke warm to cold. The fajita meat dry and had like it’s been under a heat lamp for hours. The drink had little to no ice. I won’t be back to this location. Both times I paid $ 15 I don’t feel there’s any value at this location.

I had the street tacos again last night(after secret carnevale) and OMG! They are always good but this location just made them better! Delicious taco juice ran down my hand as I stuffed my face :-) I went to sleep feeling very satisfied. I was sober this time so I can honestly say that this is not exaggerated and you need to get you some.
