Mesquite has a handful of Asian grocery stores, however, this is one I’ve shopped at regularly and I’m pretty pleased with their products; most of them anyway. The store is located in a shopping center in an easy to find area. This is a family-owned store. The owner’s name is George, he is quite helpful, friendly, and a great listener(if you like running your mouth like I do!). Though this is an Asian(Indian) grocery store; you will find a selection of African foods as well. The fresh produce section is quite small and not too elaborate, but that’s okay. The dry goods are vast and prices are pretty good. You will find beauty products, frozen meats and fish, there is a pretty good selection of South Indian foods to choose from here. The atmosphere is friendly, homey and sweet. If you need help finding something, George is more than happy to help and he’s not pretentious or weird. He also carries bibles in language translations such as Urdu and Telugu(maybe other languages as well). Oh, one more thing, be careful about purchasing any plastic kitchenware; I purchased a bowl with a lid which is supposed to seal; it seals, however, it is a little warped and so, if you purchase any item for your kitchen and it isn’t stainless steel, look over it very carefully,.this warping was due to exposure to extreme heat(likely during transport here). He may not have a return policy; I’m not totally sure… This store is worth shopping at if you’re looking for an Asian grocery store and you live in Mesquite! :0)
